my perosnal impressio:

It has the editing that i have not seen before in music videos. something really different. scale of 1 to 10 i give it a 6. the downfall for the video is that the toliyay (desi drummers) are not cut in properly. I do understand that the real life druming doesnt involve that much power but these guys on many occasion are not practically doing anything except the last 30 secs.

and red lost its meanings.

overall a 7 is a good. (two marks for originality + 5 video) could have given a 8 or even 9 if they had used a little more energetic shots of toliyay. and the camera works neeeds a little bit touching.

for general public viewing, its good for 8.

but important thing is music and I absolutely love it.

check out their collaberation with shafqat amanat ali khan called "Mahiya".

Only problem is there there depeche video matched the song. and apparently aarooh dont know crap about the video but they are not the only one many people without actual talent end up like that.
though song has a generic kind of sound but i personally wont change the radio channel if it comes up.



Milestones the group was called. their guitarist was the actual person with some talent. hate to say it but the fact is karachi people just lift and certain lahorees just lift up anyone as "wow" group. milestone was one too. their second album sounds like that they sat one day and made one song and then seprated in 4 songs. Anyway my favourite song of them is called AAg.

i dunno i like raag neela by aaroh. i mean the song may be slightly generic but i'm not really bothered and the video is well slightly unconventional for normal pakistani music videos but that's not neccessarily a bad thing either.

the guy is not reciting with one breath. he is using this art of singing while breathing. But he is doing it real good.

Know that holding breath and speaking for two minutes are totally different things. and it is physical impossibility to create gass out of nowhere to support the speech.

man, Aaaroh's new album is da bomb. The best of the year so far. Gazillion times better than that moron Atif. And somebody please ask this guy Ali Duffer to stop singing. He is just a disgrace to music.

Aren't there Indie labels? Everything in Pakistan seems to be either underground or mainstream. Underground bands just play shows and release mp3s on the internet. I think that Pakistan needs indie labels. Look at China for example. Rock is not big in China due to the fact that the government is a bit afraid of Rock music (look up Cui Jian). So you won't see that stuff on MTV. But indie labels have been popping up and releasing Rock bands, mainly in Beijing and Shanghai. And it's pretty successful. Artists are selling like 30,000 records, and magazines are selling like hotcakes around the cities. That's what we need in Pakistan. Magazines with CDs that showcase indie artists and Indie labels.

hold on.................... why are we even talking about atif. the dumb a$$ cant sing. only good song that i ever heard was gul sun ja. all the rest is pretty much garbage. and the way he kills voh lamhe, I just cant take it.

heard aaroh's album and right now i can say i like two songs raag neela and pyaar ka jaal. rest i have to say I dont have stomach for jagjit singh type ghazal style. I am hard core ghazal fan and that kind of style I just cant swallow so I guess that is the reason I cant pass by the first minute of aaroh's song :)

Yes it has been broadcasted on The Musik, Geo and Ary. Go to The Musik you can listen to all the Pakistani songs whole day. There is another Pakistani music channel AGG. I like The Musik better though they also have Boy vs Girl debate which is the best ! Yes they have also been broadcasted in Pakistan a friend of mine she wacthes all these videos in Pakistan on The Musik.



How come we don't get Pakistani MTV here ? We get all other Pakistani Music channels on Sky digital but not Pakistani MTV for some reasson.

Also you guys seen DM Tv ? broadcasted from Manchester God hate that channel so much; it is a disgrace people like them are representing Islam and Pakistan.

I left watching DM long time back since last year, they played Indian songs on 14th August, also advertised Indian musical show held in England.

Now they started some new program about What do the stars say ? When in Islam it is prohibited to read or ask about your horoscopes.
