One of the main things that differentiates singapore from the other cities you mention is the significant presence of non-chinese races. You can see the hindu temple (of which there are many) in your video ...on top of the mosques, churches and chinese temples. Lots of inter-marriage going on as well....so the city itself has a more mixed feel to it....rather than purely chinese like the others.
That said, once you live there (like I have), you will realise the problems there as well. No place in the world is perfect. There is sometimes underlying racial tension and stereotyping (it is minimal but still present to make a talking point sometimes).....plus there is a more lethargic work habit amongst many singaporeans compared to their HK counterparts (personal experience again)....probably due to the weather in singapore. Then there is always the infamous asian mentality when it comes to getting ahead of others, showing off excessively and being cheap (esp when it comes to sales and promos.....singaporeans fight claw and nail to get the stupidest things on sale....sometimes just for bragging rights). Add on top of this the excessive heat and humidity of the place that makes outside travelling unbearable at times.
A youtube video can be made to make anything look ideal....whereas no such thing exists.... It might seem like one of the nicest places to visit....but live there...and you will see the problems.

yea krad is right singapore is not homogenous chinese
has large numbers of malays and indians and foreign workers living there
so singapore cant really compare to the cities in china mainland
