Turkey "protests" as Syrians open fire at border

Turkey has protested after Syrian forces opened fire across the border, the first such attack since Turkey began housing refugees from the unrest.
A clash between Syrian rebels and troops spilled over the border, leaving one dead and several injured. Turkey summoned Syria's envoy over the clash.
Meanwhile a Lebanese cameraman was shot dead on Lebanon's Syrian border.

How come Turkey is taking all this abuse? Previous to this Syrian soldiers shot at Turkish pilgrims returning from Hajj.

Retaliation and air-strikes against Assad and his cronies are long over-due.

Most countries try to avoid going to war if possible. The Rebels had been fighting near the border, Assads goons were firing at them, and didn't respect the border, the same way the rebels didn't.
