By Brig Nadir Mir
Recently, a resolution was passed in the US Congress to divide Pakistan and carve out an ‘independent Balochistan’. With this, an old neocon dream was revived. This time the so-called globalists and propagandists, masquerading as human right activists, are the cheerleaders. Against this backdrop, Colonel Ralph Peter’s map of the ‘New Middle East’ truncating, balkanising every country – Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan – was reproduced. Despite the fact that it was scorned and reviled even at the time of its earlier exhibition.
It seems that the neocons and influential globalists of America desperately want to initiate World War III. Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger’s interview, If you can’t hear the drums of war, you must be deaf, with Alfred Heinz on November 27, 2011, is a clear expression of this desire.
The neocon-globalist geopolitical wish list – the rationale for the so-called ‘independent Balochistan’ – is as under:
§ Cripple Pakistan by separating Balochistan (46 percent of its territory with large mineral resources, besides the future global port of Gwadar).
§ Balkanised Pakistan forced to give up its nuclear arsenal.
§ Establish India’s hegemony over Pakistan.
§ Leftover US forces in Afghanistan and US controlled ‘new Balochistan’ to act as strategic central position for multi-regions.
§ US controlled Afghanistan-Balochistan to link the Central Asian energy oil and gas pipelines with Gwadar.
§ Delink Pakistan and Iran by carving out Balochistan and obviate the Iran-Pakistan energy/gas pipelines.
§ Establish US military presence in Balochistan for upcoming US-Israeli war against Iran.
§ Block Russia-Pak cooperation with Gazprom (Russian Gas Company) reaching Gwadar.
§ Balochistan and Kurdistan to be artificially created to have imperialist bases in the heartland of Islam.
§ ‘Independent Balochistan’ – a prelude for Kurdistan to break away from Turkey; separate Xinjiang and Tibet from China; Siberia from Russia; and separate Makkah and Madinah from Saudi Arabia.
§ US military presence in Gwadar to control the Gulf. To use the port as an alternative for USA’s 5th fleet based in Bahrain or another fleet if brought near the Gulf.
§ Use Gwadar as a military base for intervention in the Saudi Peninsula.
The rationale of these ill-intentioned pseudo thinkers is absolutely absurd. According to them, since the Pakistani elite is exploiting Balochistan, so it should be balkanised. Those who believe that Balochistan should not be a part of Pakistan are geopolitical imbeciles. Indeed, the propagandists making these claims are clueless about regional realities because:
§ Pakistan: It will fight a war, even a nuclear war of national survival to defend itself.
§ Iran: The Iranian Seistan is part of Balochistan, which the imperialists want to carve out. Therefore, Iran will fight a war in unison with Pakistan to defend Balochistan against the US threats.
§ Afghanistan: The Taliban are winning; the Americans are leaving. No Afghan – not even Karzai – will cede the Afghan territory to become ‘greater independent Balochistan’. Nor can landlocked Kabul take up fights with both Islamabad and Tehran.
§ Turkey: The Turks will support Pakistan and oppose independent Balochistan. Those who are plotting Balochistan also support Kurdistan to balkanise Turkey. Turkey will oppose Balochistan splitting by Nato, even if Nato is foolhardy to play the diabolical game of neocons.
§ Saudi Arabia: The Saudis, too, will support Pakistan and oppose the Balochistan movement.
§ India: It has been supporting the destabilisation of Balochistan and will continue to do so. But for India to overtly support Balochistan can lead to a nuclear war with Pakistan. Besides this can also trigger freedom movements in Kashmir, Khalistan, Assam, Tamil Nadu and a dozen other places. Playing the US-Israel game will spoil its relations with Iran, Russia and China.
§ China: It will support Pakistan. USA’s aim in Balochistan is to block China from Gwadar. Balochistan today, Xinjiang tomorrow! China’s defence begins from Pakistan.
§ Russia: It is Pakistan’s new friend. Besides, the Pak-Iran link is supported by Moscow.
So, the geopolitics of the region negates any viability of an independent Balochistan. In addition, anti-Americanism in Pakistan has a complex dynamic. The US meddling in Balochistan will not create an ‘independent Balochistan’, but will initiate a war, perhaps, leading to World War III.
The situation in Balochistan certainly demands immediate attention. Out of 150 Baloch tribes three major ones Marris, Bugtis, and Mengals have had problems or are in conflict. The issue of Bugtis is greatly linked to the murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti. A fair trial of those responsible is their demand. The Mengals can be communicated with. Some of the Marris leaders are more adamant and would need to be worked on. Pakistan needs to accommodate most of the Balochistan demands and satisfy the people, while ensuring its national interests. Half the demography of Balochistan which is Pakhtun are patriotic like the great majority of Baloch.
Bugti’s killing by Musharraf led to the present Balochistan crisis. The army or the ISI is not responsible. USA and India did not oppose Musharraf’s actions in Balochistan. This was a US-India baited gambit (to lure Musharraf into a crackdown and create turmoil for instigating independent Balochistan). Musharraf was praised by Washington and assured by Delhi of its non-involvement in Balochistan, luring him into the mess Pakistan faces today in the province. For all this time a covert war was being waged for claiming independence of Balochistan. During this period a worldwide network was established. This became overt in February 2012 as war with Iran is near centre stage in 2012. However, those who are planning war against Pakistan must be told that the choice is between peace and total war; indeed, the country will be defended at any price!

Try attending a Jinaza like this and then you will know what it means to be in a war ! What it means to pray over your fallen friends who had fought alongside you in battles. The families of our sons and brothers in armed forces are doing this everyday -- leaving behind thousands of orphans, widows and old grieving parents. This is a war our haramkhor politicians do not want to acknowledge. Elections in these times of war would mean more deaths, destruction and chaos. Then there will be no time for tauba, just punishments. Wake up now before it is too late.

I think there is one solution to this threat, allow two military bases in Balochistan, chinese bases. That region is far being saturated with multiple forces and factions...the only way to counter is by bringing China in the game, that will keep India and U.S. at bay.I wish it didnt come to that, but to be honest, even our military has failed...our generals have become too lazy and unless we take this drastic steps,i feel things wont get resolved.
We havent really sped development in Balochistan and tried to win the public on our side. The army hasnt exposed these tribals, and lastly, there are far too many elements of the traitorous Mush team in the military still.

Also,i fail to understand the demands of the BLA/BRA of removing Pak army from Balochistan, WHY?Isnt Balochistan part of Pakistan.Fine, dont bring the army into the settled areas but we need a heavy presence on this border.Sadly, by stirring up this ####, our enemies are thinning out our forces even further. First the tribal belt, now balochistan...that reinforces the needs for a Chinese base or two!
By the way,im sure the news of the AUTONOMOUS eastern Libya hasnt escaped you guys...the game is in full swing..sadly, the game with syria right now, KSA is in bed with others.I know Assad is vile, but this isnt the way to handle it...others will reap the benefit.
BTW, dont take my PTI support as the sole reason, but i think IK's life is in danger...Any possibility of a political solution to Balochistan would crush these imperialist wet dreams..I really hope IK goes with state backed top notch security on his Quetta Jalsa...I wish he didnt have to do it at this time, but at the same time ITS VERY important that a political party sway the avg. Balochi back onto the political platform and give peace another chance.

The armed forces and Balochis’ uplift
By: S M Hali | February 15, 2012
Despite being the richest in mineral resources and having a 750 kilometre coastline, offering tranquil beaches and abundance of marine life, Balochistan is the most neglected province of Pakistan. Successive governments have not only left the Balochis in gross neglect, but also plundered its riches, leaving the inhabitants in a shabby and decrepit condition.
Besides the federal government, the provincial governments of Balochistan and the feudal lords have been complicit in this criminal abandon. In the decade 2000 onwards, various development projects were launched to reduce the plight of Balochis, but it seems to be a case of too little, too late. Decisions that should have been taken in the seventies and eighties are being taken now, which has done little to alleviate the misery of people.
Resultantly, the Balochis have been exploited to fuel insurgency and strife. Most of their grievances are genuine, but taking up arms was not the right action.
In the near past, the armed forces of Pakistan have taken up the cudgels for the uplift of the Balochis. The main areas of concern have been education, health and means of livelihood to wean away the disgruntled elements into lives of normalcy. Both the army and the navy have spearheaded projects to induct Baloch youth into their services, as well as set up educational and medical institutions.
As regards recruitment in the armed forces, there have been adequate vacancies. But a small number of Baloch youth have come forward to join this profession, mainly because of illiteracy and ignorance. Resultantly, their representation in the armed forces has been less as compared to the youth from other provinces. In order to create awareness among them about the military, and subsequently choosing it as their profession, over the past few years, the armed forces have started a massive awareness campaign and concession package all over the province.
Consequently, the army’s campaign met with overwhelming successes. Thousands of Baloch youth appeared for recruitment in various army selection and recruitment centres. About 4,000 Balochi recruits of this massive campaign completed their basic training on October 29, 2010, and joined various units of the Pak Army. The induction of these soldiers in large numbers is a major milestone and historical occasion for their families and the province. Additionally, 10,000 youths - still undergoing basic military training in various institutions - are likely to join the prestigious service in the near future.
Likewise, Pakistan Navy (PN) has launched the “N” Cadet scheme. The Baloch youth are being inducted in different cadet colleges through a sponsorship system in which they will be able to join the navy after completion of their studies. In a fast-track scheme, they are being taken directly into the PN as officers without undergoing the rigours of the Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB). Two years after commissioning, they will have to undergo the selection process by ISSB, and by that time they will be better equipped to pass the tests. Similar schemes are being undertaken for induction into the PN’s other ranks. Different branches of Bahria schools and colleges are being set up in the province, while simultaneously local schools are being sponsored by the navy where books, furniture, sports equipment and development funds are being provided.
On its part, local army units have been assigned by the COAS to arrange educational classes for the children of poor people, who cannot afford the heavy expenses of imparting even basic education. Their boarding, lodging and tuition fee is borne by the Pak Army from its own resources. The army’s contributions in the progress of Balochistan, including Chamalang Education Programme, Sui Education City, and Gwadar Institutes of Technical Education, are remarkable. Measures have been taken to sustain these projects, which are contributing positively towards better education and creation of jobs for common people, particularly in its remote areas.
Moreover, the health sector has received no less attention. Both the army and navy have set up medical centres and hospitals, where the Balochis not only receive free treatment, but also medicines. The navy’s Darman Jah Hospital at Ormara with a 100-bed facility and state-of-the-art medical equipment is a matter of pride for Pakistan. Additionally, serious patients are transferred to major hospitals in Karachi and other metropolitan centres if required. These facilities also provide equal employment opportunities to Baloch boys and girls. Indeed, the contribution of the armed forces in bringing the Baloch youth into the mainstream through their induction process is commendable.

SWEET IS SLEEP TO ME AND EVEN MORE TO BE OF STONE,
WHILE THE WRONG AND SHAME ENDURE.
TO BE WITHOUT SIGHT OR SENSE IS A MOST HAPPY CHANGE FOR ME,
THEREFORE DO NOT ROUSE ME. HUSH! SPEAK LOW.
I said to God "I hate Life" God replied "Who asked you to love life? Just Love me & life will be beautiful"
Living in favorable and unfavorable conditions is PART of living. Smiling in all those conditions is ART of living.
"Anytime you think you need to protect God, you can be sure you're worshiping an idol"

it is Pakistan's sword of damacles, hung by the west
support the west or lose baluchistan; without which Pakistan becomes almost infeasible as a country

Wel Im glad this is happening, amreeka is promptly exposing itself and that too, to no avail. There are 130+ balochi tribes and out of them, only three have a hemoroid bursting in there butts, namely the bugtis, maris and mengals. All the other 127 tribes are not only pro Pakistan but also hate the bugtis, maris and mengals down to the core; these three tribes have been extremely ruthless to the others tribes. Not to mention, all the other ethnic groups in balochistan are also pro Pakistan. If this was such a problem there wouldnt be a yearly batch of 4000 to 10000 recruits joining the Military every year. This bullsh!t zionist plan is destined to fizzle out like the rest of their plans.
