8 days to go. Counting Down.
PTV Global and PTV Home are showing a very interesting programme about the actual core and Creation of Pakistan.
Retired Justice Javed Iqbal sits infront of a young audience, with a Q & A session.
The programme is called: "Pakistan - A Miracle".
I would higly recommend everyone to watch the programme.
Quad-e-Azam - The Last Willhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ONdcifo1eP8Sir, this people has traditions of great achievement to its credit; its history is replete with deeds of glory; in every sphere of life it has contributed its full measure of achievement; its heroism adorns the pages of military chronicles; its administrators created traditions which have withstood the ravages of time; in creative art, its poverty, architecture and sense of beauty have won their tribute of appreciation; in the matter of spiritual greatness it has few parallels. It is this people which is again on the march, and, given the necessary opportunities, it will surpass its previous record of glorious achievement. This Objectives Resolution is the first step in the direction of the creation of an environment which will again awaken the spirit of the nation. We, whom Destiny has chosen to play a part, howsoever humble and insignificant, in this great drama of national resurrection, are overwhelmed with the magnitude of the opportunities which are before us. Let us use these opportunities with wisdom and foresight, and I have not the least doubt that these humble efforts will bear fruit far in excess of our wildest expectations, through the help of a Providence which has brought Pakistan into existence. It is not every day that great nations come into their own; it is not every day that peoples stand on the threshold of renaissance; it is not every day that Destiny beckons the down-trodden and the subjugated to rise and greet the dawn of a great future. It is the narrow streak of light heralding the brilliance of the full day, that we salute in the form of this Resolution." Speech of Liaquat Ali Khan on the Objectives Resolution (March 9th, 1949)http://takbeeremusal...li-khan-on.htmlPeace :-)

27th Ramazan 15 August 1947 and day was Friday (According to calender followed by world )
I just wrote this date after checking the calender of 1947 please dont be angry and check this date that is on friday and day was 15th August. My father told me that our first celebration was on 15th August but later on we changed this to 14th August. If I m wrong then please correct me.
you can read from this website
http://www.nazariapa...OP/chapter7.asp
This time
15 August is on 27th Ramazan and day is Wednesday ( According to Islamic calender followed by world except india and Pak)
15 August is 26th Ramazan but night will be 27th ( According to Islamic calender followed by Pakistan)
27th Ramazan is on Friday (According to Islamic calender followed by India)
what a coincidence.
why our books don't tell us that our elders changed the day. our dear homeland was created on a beautiful day. why they changed the date. I don't buy the logic that we should celebrate before India. that is mostly said.
If it were not 27th ramazan then I never post this message.
Kindly correct me If I m wrong. dont be angry.

The conversion result is: Thursday 26 RamaDHaan 1366 A.H.
*There is a small probability of one day error.
http://www.islamicfi...7&date_result=1
Muslims got their territory and hoisted the Pakistani flag on 14th August, representing their religion and culture, to mark the country's soverignity.
That is according to the Gregorian calendar.
The Islamic Calendar's basic setting is based upon the day ends after Maghrib, which in this situation was the 26th Ramadan on 14 August 1947 according the gregorian calendar, but after Maghrib; the 27th Ramadan started.
Lets say that Maghrib was around 7.10 (plus, minus 10-20 minutes) local time in Karachi (the original capital city at that time), then Isha prayer started approximately at 8.30 (plus, minus 10-20 minutes). After Isha and Tawaweeh prayers; - which take 1.5 hours; local time for Isha prayer/Azaan: 8.30 + 1.5 hours of praying= 10 p.m. would be the local time in Karachi - Pakistan - in 1947.
Preperation of Laila Tul Qadr started and people prayed that night for the Miracle of Pakistan; then that would be plausible and possbile within 2 hours; before 12.00 - Midnight - and ending the date of 14th August 1947 and starting a new day according to the Gregorian calendar.
The Islamic Calendar was followed and catched up 14th August; nearly 4 hours, 45 minutes before entering into the Gregorian date, 15th August 1947.
I took the exitpoll in the prayer times from this website: http://www.islamicfi...ountry=Pakistan - since the timetables for praying times haven't changed.
Just my 2 cents.
Peace
Anyways:3 days remaining

thanks for the video bro
My passion, Jazba, love, will and blood boiled for the promise and sacrifice we must give to Pakistan; it's poor, uneducated, poor, handicapped, widows, elder, orphans... the Pakistani people, OUR people, Rasullah's (SAWS) Eagles, Iqbal's Eagles, who are our Eagles...
Pakistan Zindabad
Few hours remaining according to Pakistan local time.
May Allah Bless Pakistan, Ameen.
I urge and request everyone, with my both hands bonded as a humble Pakistani, read three times Surah Fatiha, Ikhlaas and Durood for Pakistan, it's Founding Fathers...
Read 2 Nawafils to Be Thankful Infront of Allah, and Forgiveness as well, at the same time let it be a gift for all Pakistanis who suffer in their daily lives. .
Read the entire Surah Yaseen with the intention of as giving a gift to Pakistan, it's people who have suffered a lot, the Maryrred civilians during the migration to Pakistan and after the Creation of Pakistan, it's martyred soldiers and Pak Armed Forces Jawaans who need Allah's Blessings for their commitment for being Loyal to the country.
Even if we know the harsh reality; political figures are corrupt and the entire system has demoralized Pakistanis, but nothing should be a hindering in our Love and Commitment for Pakistan.
We know Pakistan can't sorry, people wont say sorry, the political figures aren't sorry at all, the military officials aren't sorry neither...
We can't get an apology and have this feeling of being furios, frustrated and hatred, but if it helps i would like to sorry on behalf of Pakistan, even the Motherland can't speak. But please do not stop the love for Her, i feel the same as everyone else, but inside my heart we and i know, we can't turn our hatred towards Pakistan...
Peace
If anyone reads this and the following person(s) are in Pakistan, please do kiss the air of Pakistan on my behalf!!
Really miss Pakistan...

I suspect today's celebrations will be a little subdued because of the Ramadan efforts.
Happy be the bounteous realm,
Symbol of high resolve, Land of Pakistan.
Blessed be thou citadel of faith.
The Order of this Sacred Land
Is the might of the brotherhood of the people.
May the nation, the country, and the State
Shine in glory everlasting.
Blessed be the goal of our ambition.
This flag of the Crescent and the Star
Leads the way to progress and perfection,
Interpreter of our past, glory of our present,
Inspiration of our future,
Symbol of Almighty's protection.

Pakistan turns greens for Independence Day Celebrations
August 14th, 2012 by Faisal Farooq |

Nation celebrated the 65th Independence Day with zeal, enthusiasm Tuesday. The day dawned with special prayers in mosques for the progress and prosperity of the country.
The celebrations begun with a 31-gun salute in the Federal Capital and 21-gun salute in all the four provincial capitals.
A colourful ceremony of change of the guard took place at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Mohammed Ali Jinnah, Pakistan’s founder, in Karachi.
A number of events have been chalked out to celebrate the Independence Day in a befitting manner and pay homage to those, who laid down their lives to create an independent motherland for the coming generations.
People from various walks of life have decorated their houses with national flags and the buildings, city shopping centres, bazaars and all the main roads are also being adorned with flags and fancy lights.
National songs are in the air, which give the message that whole the nation is united and tidy. The national flag is being hoisted at the important buildings to celebrate the day with befitting manners.
Besides prayers for the solidarity and stability of the country, they are renewing the commitment to serve it with zeal and sincerity.
Tributes are paid to founding father Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and great thinker and philosopher Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal, who gave Muslims of sub-continent idea of a separate homeland. An impressive ceremony of ‘change of guard’ also took place at Mazar-e-Quaid.
Main event of the federal capital was flag hoisted by Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at Convention Centre while series of other events have been planned for the day by the political parties, civil society and other strata of life.
Key government buildings including the Parliament House, Supreme Court of Pakistan, Prime Minister’s House, President House, Secretariat and other important places in the capital were illuminated as part of Independence Day celebrations.
August 14, 1947 represents the victory of those politicians who worked relentlessly to free the Muslims from the British repression.
Men, women and children all over Pakistan and abroad celebrating Independence Day to pay their respect to those rendered sacrifices for an independent country.
