I have heard that the european heavy tanks average around 3 litres of fuel per km.
Can someone confirm this or provide the accurate values for all the current known tanks?
thanks in advance.

Q2. If no then how does Pakistan train snipers.
Q3. Which sniper guns are used by Pakistan Army.
All SSG commandoes are trained at Cherat including snipers,Sniper rifles used by SSG are Modified G-3s with scopes,PSG1 ,M-28,Steyr AUG and some Chinese sniper rifles.
SSG Training and operations
How does Igla fair with respect to the latter ones?
Q2. Javelin and Mistral seems to be bulkier and looks like they have limited portability.
Is there any european man portable anti air system equivalent to IglaS, Anza III and Sting
I think Igla,Anza MK-II and Stinger all are in the same league, maybe there are some differences but thier technology seems tobe of same generation.Swedish RBS-70 is also a potent system.
"How few are the Romans and how numerous are we ! 'An army's strength lies not in numbers of men but in Allah's help, and its weakness lies in being forsaken by Allah"
(Hazrat Khalid bin Al-Waleed, said this to one of his soldier at Battle of Yarmouk who said that ..How numerous are the Romans and how few are we)

Thanks lovepakistan,
However I don't consider RBS-70, Rapier etc in the same category as Stinger, cause they are not shoulder held.

All three missiles seem to have similar "claimed" performance characteristics.
It is worth remembering that any comparison of any sort between these missiles is a futile attempt because of the "real" performance characteristics being classified. One of the ways a stinger tracks an aircraft is by using what is called, Negative UltraViolet (NVU). But a lot of information on these Counter Counter measures are kept secret.
However, Igla and Grom, are indeed more durable compared to their American cousin.
Anza III seems to be a license copy of the Chinese QW-2 Vanguard 2 MANPAD.
You might want to look at the new Korean KP-SAM or the old Stingerish Type 91 system of the JSDF. Laser based missiles are harder to jam for obvious reasons.
The only European "man portable anti air system" equivalent to Igla or the Stinger I can think of is the British Starburst which is being currently phased out.

Pakistan Army is working on building out an Air Assault Brigade. It will be a while because it is a very expensive capability to acquire. However a lot of officers are being sent for specialized Air Assault training and the Army is investing in building out its heli assets (buying more MI-17s etc.). The SOTF is essentially an air assault unit. Eventually PA would like to have the ability to move a couple of battalions via helis.

Q3. Which sniper guns are used by Pakistan Army.
1)Yes Pakistan Army does have a dedicated Sniper school. Its part of the Pakistan Army School of Infantry and Tactics and located in Quetta.
2)Sniper training is considered part of the field craft taught to selected jawans/NCOs who have shown good marksmanship. There is a dedicated curriculum for Sniper training offered at the above school that runs for 2 months.
3) Currently Pakistan Army's primary Sniper Rifle is Steyr SSG69PI.

Q1, You have to look that up.
Q2. Mistral is just as light as Stinger and is in use with Pakistan in large numbers (with the PAF, PN and Pakistani Marines).

no Pakistan doesn't have such a system and even overall many such systems are still in development and there's no proven ABMS system that has achieved a good kill rate (as yet).

Mistral is a very effective weapon and the PAF (primary user) likes it better than Anzas. Comparison between Mistral and Stinger is a difficult one as they are both about the same.

Thankyou
The PA has lots of weapons that can disable any tank. The TOW II (I think the PA has converted to wireless guidance) can destroy the T-90, and any other modern tank, easily. If memory serves, the PA still uses the M901 (M113 variant) TOW vehicle as well as tripod-mounted launchers. The Cobra can also fire the TOW.
Tanky
Also we make Baktar shikan ATM which can be fired from cobra.

Yes, we produce the Anza I and II series and are (or have been) working on the Anza III system.
Also current speeds of missiles make an interception by an aircraft unlikely...

1) What is the range of the main gun on the Al-Khalid? How does that compare to the Abrams?
2) Does Pakistan use any MILES-style laser field training equipment? If not, how do they train? Do they not do any team vs team war-games at all?

How many do we have all together?
I heard we have over 152 pieces according Pakdef of M109/A2 versions. When were these delivered?
One site is claiming 115 m109/a5 versions were delivered in 2007. http://www.deagel.com/equipment/Self-Prope...09-a000753.aspx
So do we have over 250 SP guns?

A selam
I give here a short overview of our 155m Artillary arsenal:
Pakistan already has ca. 150 older (1970s vintage) M109A2s and have buy 115 new.
December 28, 2005: Pakistan is buying 115 used 155mm self-propelled howitzers from the United States.
The A5 version has the same long range firing capabilities as the A6 (30 kilometers).
The M109A5 upgrades came right at the end of the Cold War (late 1980s.)
At the and we have ca.250 M-109A5 155mm SP Guns
