Nope. I would rate it as between f-16 blk 52+ and 60 tech-wise. You are right about the FBW and cockpit not making a good plane. Check the MMR specs, you will find they are comparable to the radr on F-16I. Radar ECM resistance and beam agility matters.The processors of MMR should be comparable to best in world-India has already built processors for BARS which make it similar to RB-E2.Check the specs.All LCA avionics are a more advanced derivative of MKI stuff(check project Vetrivale).


In terms of EW it is equipped with the Tempest SPJ , comparable to the ASPJ on the Blk 60, or the Israeli EL/L 8347 which is more advanced than the El/8222 on the F-16I Sufa and the F-15I Ra'am. Check the specs.

LCA fulfills two of four criteria for 5th gen aircraft:sensor fusion and avionic integration.It could theoretically supercruise considering india has buit crystal blade technology. An AESA is under development, and the Tempest is capable accomadating LWR/J. This combination could help match the JSF/J-12.

Not Really.... its not possibl to have humane discussion between indians and Paksitani's unless the nationalists on both sides are thrown out.. and both sides accept to take a neutral and realistic stand.

Now about The LCA... Its a gr8 concept.. but then i beleive it should be made to replace everything except the Mig29's...Ive seen the cockpit of the LCA.. looks like a video game... too many MFD's and Displays. India should use its vast programming populus to come up with a singular display system somthing like the F-22. remember. its better for the pilot to look down just once and know everything rather then look down left ad right and center and upper corner.. etc etc.
BUt then who am I to tell the DRDO what to do and what not to do.
Seriously.. If peace happens in this reigion( IT CANT.. Our army will be out of jobs.. .. hmm.. maybe that is why they are filing civillian positions with army officers??)

Well LCA is more display , but its has ditial system , u can see many things at same time , like u can see Radar , while touch screen u can select missle , Plane system  checking to check where r problem etc..........so that u don't have to switch over one display plannel .

That is my point... instead of going for this LCd to that MFD.. A pilot should be able to do stuff right there and then.. my just hitting once single screen.. Three at the max...
i mean im sure some thing in programming can be done to do just that..
Now imagine a LCA is tasked with attcking a hypothetical terrorist camp near bengal... Imaging the place is infested with manpads and Shorads... Now If the usual LCA cockpit comes in... the pilot would have to do a lot of touching, looking around the cockpit(even if memorises some of the funcitons) To drop a LGB or a simple bomb.. all this while he will have to jink to avoid defenses and missles. .. while i can understand if an automated ECM and ECCM suite can take care of missles.. but even the most advanced ECM cant do anyhting about a missle heading for an aircraft flying a stright and level bombing approach becuse its pilot has to select weapons and Look for the target and fly and avoid the missle.
Hence if there was less clutter in the cockpit and the pilot could just bring up a certain menu either by DVI(even somthing like the thing on MS word isnt bad) ro by simply touching symbols on the screen.. HIs accuracy and success rate would be much better,,,,
Its like studying for me.. A cluttered desk does look god at first.. you have all the books within ur reach. but it ends up distracting you.. but a clean desk does ot distract you.. and u can have the books by ur side in a piloe so you can pick anyone up when needed.. and u get less distracted by the task at hand

The aircraft need to be put through multiple exersizes within its peer aircraft.. and outside.. remeber the F-16has now mock dogfighter every aircraft flying today..except the eurofighter.

The LCA needs grooming.. its taken 25 years.. well i think it needs another 5 if it is supposed to make those 25 worth it.. And the kaveri should be dropped.. I heard its got horrible service times.. Stick to the GE-404.. its got excellent servicbility..
And as a message to all Indians and Pakstani's.. Even adaptations are somthing to be proud of.. Even if you just bought the wood and nails and the plans and paint.. You did build a HUT.. U BUILT a HUT..

all these sources say it clearly that JF-17 is going to enter serial production in Pakistan by 2007 .. there is no engine issue ... cm oon ,, use ur common sense damn it !!! u may hate us .. but thats fine but pllzzzz dont think PAF is stupid enough to invest in such a plane which is ultimately not goin to have an engine ... it really  dosnt make any sense at all ... and besides its China which will provide Pak with engines not Russia .. JF-17s avionics are  not yet decided...  a final production model for PAF is yet to be anounced...  rite now there are 3 prototypes ,, a final prototype 04 I think is goin to be ready with full avionics system ... and also the info abt the italian radar ie grifo-s7 is very outdated .. this radar was for Super-7 .. but sice sanctions have been lifted and due to indias purchases of Su-30s PAF is evaluating other options for its JF-17s .. italy has also upgraded the grifo-s7 it now includes all those funtions in order to compete with RC-400s from sagem

SU-30mki is good .. but its not like some thing invincible .. F-16 blk 50/52 with AESA radars armed with AMRAAM can just do the job .. and ACM has made it clear that F-16s is not the only AC which we r lookin for  ... PAF has yet to buy a 4rth generation Aircraft ... soo no need to get crazy abt SU-30s

Reading this week's JDW, Air Forces Monthly and Flight International I came across FC-1 Engine story.  According to the reports, China and Russia have signed 500 engines deal, but there is no transfer of technology.

Russia has not given China to export these engines to third country. However, in today's competitive arms sector anything is possible as long you are willing to pay over the odds.  

Wait and watch is the best option.

quadropled Fly by wire means that the LCA will have mutiple wire attached to it from the remote controller unit which will be manned by a 5 year old child.

This means it one wire gets cut there will be mutiple others so the plane can still fly and be controlled.

Thus us pakistani will be undone!

LCA is bad as bcoz indians are developing it and JF-17 is god like bcoz pakistanis are involved makes no sense.
it is not which countries are developing an aircraft?but what quality with what special ability are they developing is the mainstay.
i being indian and wouldn't rate LCA as better then F-22 similarly my pakistani friends shudn't say LCA is a worldwar I vintage just bcoz they are pakistanis.

And what about LCA it is build 100% by forigener the only thing positive is that it is mdae IN India.   

More than 100 RD-93 deal is inked by China and Russia. I think it is more based on F-16A rather than MIG-33 and even if it is then remember it is BASED on MIG-33 it is NOT a MIG-33 copy. I will be inducted in 2007 and what about LOSER CRAPPY AIRCRAFT (LCA)
