Visa requests to Pakistanis processed normally -- Pakistani embassy
KUWAIT, Jan 12 (KUNA) -- Visa requests of Pakistanis are being processed in normal routine and there has been no ban of any kind imposed by the Government of Kuwait, said the Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait Wednesday.
A statement issued by the embassy said that the Ambassador of Pakistan Khazar Hayat Khan Niazi spoke to Interior Ministry Undersecretary Nasser Al-Othman to ascertain this after a local newspaper reported on January 8, that a ban had been imposed on work, visit and family visas to Pakistani nationals.
The statement said the undersecretary "categorically informed the ambassador that no ban of any kind had been imposed by the Government of Kuwait on the issuance of visas to Pakistanis.

Hmmm, another one .....
Former Pakistan Govt led by Nawaz Shariff was invited to become ASEAN 'PARTNER', not 'MEMBER' as members of ASEAN limited to South East Asian nations. Get your fact right, mate ....
'Look West Policy' ..... Hmmm, why not Pakistan do that? But face the facts, Pakistan did begged US Admin (specifically Bush) to 'unfreezed' shipments & future sales of F-16s.
Look, like it or not, India IS ALREADY a major hub for South Asian market. Faced it, India's importance for trading-dependent nations like ASEAN members is as important as China to us. Both China & India offers much larger market share, nearly a third of world populations.
Even Pakistanis businessmen will be salivating to exploit India's fairly significant Muslim markets, not to mention pathways for Pakistani goods to former 'colony' - Bangladesh.
Remember, like Japanese fond of saying, "BUSINESS IS WAR" & "The Art of Doing Business is an Art of War".
Take the opportunities, guys! Remember even Rasulullah SAW was a successful businessman too ......

A mini-Putrajaya for Pakistan
By Fauziah Ismail
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Malaysian company is designing a mini-Putrajaya in Islamabad, Pakistan. The mini-Putrajaya, on 2,600 acres of land, will serve as the new General Headquarters of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
TAK Management Consultants Sdn Bhd, the master planner of Putrajaya, beat four other short-listed companies, including another Malaysian company, for the contract.
A total of 11 companies had vied for the contract to design the mini-Putrajaya, which will see Pakistan's Armed Forces moving from Rawalpindi to Islamabad.
TAK Management Consultants managing director Teo Ah Khing (picture) said the mini-Putrajaya would have all the essence of Malaysia's Putrajaya where, in an eco-symbiotic manner, nature and man-made structures co-exist.
Hills remain intact while the dry ravine in the area will be turned into a cascading river with water flowing from one lake into another.
"It will be an ultra-modern city like the Putrajaya here," he told the New Straits Times at his Bangsar office.
The mini-Putrajaya will have office complexes to house the Ministry of Defence and divisions of the Armed Forces, namely Army, Air and Navy. The residential areas can accommodate 60,000 people.
Two new components to the project will be an Army university and a recreational area. The company began designing the mini-Putrajaya last June. Physical work will begin next February pending approval ofthe design by Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf.
Teo has held monthly meetings in Islamabad on the designs of the project since the company secured the contract.
Like Putrajaya, the mini-Putrajaya is expected to take three years to complete.
In Pakistan, besides the mini-Putrajaya project, TAK Management Consultants is involved in the design of the Lahore Golf Course, hotel and housing developments for its client, Bandar Raya Developments Bhd, and the proposed Army Heritage Museum and Theme Park at the Ayub National Park in Rawalpindi.

Try attending a Jinaza like this and then you will know what it means to be in a war ! What it means to pray over your fallen friends who had fought alongside you in battles. The families of our sons and brothers in armed forces are doing this everyday -- leaving behind thousands of orphans, widows and old grieving parents. This is a war our haramkhor politicians do not want to acknowledge. Elections in these times of war would mean more deaths, destruction and chaos. Then there will be no time for tauba, just punishments. Wake up now before it is too late.

The Pentagon is also located in Washington and not Buffalo.
Use your logic before you open your mouth. A Defence Authority is always located in the capital of a country. But then again, you have no logic, your an extremist terrorists, and spreading terror is all you know.

In view of the Demographic Changes most Developing Countries – Rich in Resources like Oil etc. - are now limiting, reducing and stopping further import of “Labour” from the Indian Sub-continent as well as other Areas.
However, this is going to make our Governments sit up and start the long awaited Development Projects and Industrialization of the Country so that the People can be gainfully employed and their labours lead to an Improved Economy.
Now Saudi Arabia is returning-restricting Pakistani-Indian-Bangladeshis etc. labour from its work force so that it provide much needed jobs for its own people :
Thousands of Pakistanis fear job cuts in Saudi Arabia
JEDDAH: Hundreds of thousands of Pakistanis working in Saudi Arabia are likely to fall victim to Riyadh’s campaign for "Saudisation" of its private sector after a fresh labour ministry survey revealed that about 0.2 million unskilled young jobless Saudis were willing to work.
The survey about unemployment has followed the frantic calls from within Saudi Arabia to enact legislation to force the private sector and businesses to give jobs to Saudis or leave the Kingdom.
Meanwhile, the Saudi government has boosted its campaign for giving jobs to locals by announcing the 2004 Saudisation Award for the National Commercial Bank (NCB) for its role in the Saudisation of jobs and efforts in training the Saudi nationals.
The trouble is stored for Pakistanis in compare to the workers of other countries like India and Bangladesh, who are preferred here because of their willingness to do all kind of jobs at very low wages.
The Saudisation drive will enhance Pakistan’s difficulties as over 0.2 million Pakistanis have already been repatriated from USA and other Gulf states since 9/11. Pakistanis working overseas have been contributing $2 billion in the foreign exchange reserves annually. But, since the start of their repatriation from several countries, the foreign exchange volume might register a considerable decline.
This apprehension is backed by Pakistanis working here who told The News that if Saudi government executes its ‘Saudisation’ plan, one day we all would have to go back to Pakistan. They pointed out that Pakistani authorities should understand that not only the illegal immigrants would be sent home but also the Pakistanis who had come here on legal work permits and settled here with their families.
To support their apprehensions, the Pakistanis here refer to the Saudi government’s plan to spend SR 2 billion to train its unskilled youth to enable them to get jobs in the private sector replacing foreigners. At present, seven million foreign workers are earning their livelihood by working in the private sector.
Calls for the enactment of legislation have already started appearing in the Saudi press, pressuring the government to force the private sector to give jobs to the Saudi nationals. "This is a matter of national security rather than a simple problem of unemployment," one Ali Al Mousa wrote in his column published here Thursday.
A Pakistani worker pointed out that how the Saudi government is taking the unemployed Saudis’ case could be judged from the fact that the labour ministry had backed its unemployment registration campaign with advertisements threatening the businesses that do not heed government instructions about ‘Saudidzation’.
He also referred to a columnist of a Saudi newspapers— Arab News— who has termed non cooperation of the private sector in giving jobs to the Saudis as a "high treason". The Saudi officials now want the multi- national and foreign companies to start giving priorities to the locals in all jobs instead of recruiting very highly skilled and cheap labourers from foreign countries.
Peace
