if this can happen in one prison why can't it be happening to others.
I'd hate to think what else is happening as we speak.

Why do you press harder on a remote control when you know the battery is dead?
Why does mineral water that 'has trickled through mountains for centuries' have a 'use by' date?
answer:its because the bottle makers insurance company forces them to give a date as each bottle is only covered for a certain period by the insurers. so u can drink after the date but for watever reason u wont b able 2 sue them

talking about the goings on in guantanamo bay.
I remember the papers made him sound like a liar and the general consensus was that the US would never do a thing like that.
Well thanks to those pictures, we get a good idea of what the US is capable of.
I'm not suprised at all.

According to Amnesty International these abuses started last year just after the invasion as the US started taking prisoners. War zones are rapidly changing environments and soldiers can get away with doing any #### as its easily covered up or forgotten in the bigger scheme of things. What the world has seen is a very small minority caught, but many others have got away.
And Gitmo bay was already highlighted by one of the released prisoners. Guards were kicking the Quran and harassing and beating the more religiously inclined inmates.
And when it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "We are only peacemakers. Verily! They are the ones who make mischief, but they perceive not.. ' (2:11-12)

Oh really ! How do you know ?? As far as information that is floating around most of the abused prisoners had exhausted their usefulness. There was no more information (strategic or otherwise) to be gained from them. From whom such information was to be gained were dealth with by professionals.

What b/s. Those who ##### with your prisoners would not go around giving themselves up. The majority of these soldiers gave themself up during the very first phase of the war.

That's probably what ur redeneck govt tells you to put you to sleep with a unblemished concscience. This killing of innocents because they look funny happens mostly in america rather than any other part of the world. Because it is a place with least tolerance.

No one condemned you when you attacked the perpetrators of 9/11 in afghanistan. Even there the americans committed human rights violations galore. But no one complained in this scale. Did it ever strike you why ????

yes, you can show others the way. And you can bet your bottom dollar that others will do unto you what you do unto others. It's for you and your country to decide what course of action to adopt.

but when amnesty international mentions something on the scale you mentioned, it gets played down.

oh so, we're not supposed to care about iraqi muslims?
if they believe in Allah and our beloved prophet (pbuh) and are muslim in actions, then they are my brothers and sisters. ( I can't judge their intentions as only Allah (swt) can see and read our hearts)
It's the divisions of the muslims into small entities courtesy of the kuffar that leaves muslims owing allegiance to a country and not to Allah. Under the allegiance of a country, enough muslim blood has been spilled.
Iran iraq war etc.
However if you hold your allegiance to Allah (swt) then there should be no problem in accepting any muslim around the world as your brother.
it's that simple.

Comparing this with how they would have been off under Saddam's regime is absurd, and even if they'd been screwed either way: Must the US act no different and the same Pathetic way Saddam's Soldiers would have!? Where's the difference? What was this "war" and "liberation" for?
I just saw pictures from the US attack (bombing) of the Al-Sadar Head-office in Iraq... saw burned Qur'an-e-Paks... wtf.

i've explained to you before,
muslims are muslims, wether they're in mongolia or in timbuktu, they're still our brothers or our sisters.
the "arabs" are our muslim brothers just as equally the shia's of karachi are our muslim brothers.
By whipping a frenzy if fundamentalistpaki hasn't commented on shia killing is very hypocritical of you vision,
why?
because on one hand you're dismissing our muslim brothers who are being tortured in iraq as "arabs" who deserve the punishment and you'r hardly condemning it,
while on the other hand you're flipping because people aren't condemning the attacks in karachi on shia's
In other words you're getting a taste of your own medicine, \
therefore the attittude you give out, should be the same attitude you can take in from others.
adieu.

Case 1 - Saudia Arabia.
Take this case:

Canadian Bill Sampson, a business consultant in Saudi Arabia, spent two-and-a-half years on death row.
“It initially started with punchings and kickings, and that progressed from beating me on the soles of my feet to being hung upside down in a position known as the chicken -- with your feet uppermost and your feet and backside exposed, readily available for beating,” says Sampson. “And between interrogation sessions, I was returned to the same cell and handcuffed to the door, so I couldn't sit down and I couldn't sleep.”

Sandy Mitchell, who is British, was also tortured into confessing to the bombings. He was living in Riyadh with his Thai wife and son.
“As bad as the pain was, the breaking point, when I got to the extent that I would say anything to please these people, was when they said, ‘We're going to arrest your wife. She's a Thai national, we can do anything we want to her,’” says Mitchell. “And at that stage, I decided I would confess to anything. They knew we were innocent. They had to tell us what to say.”
Read all about it 60 minutes
Case 2. Our beloved Pakistan.
Dead Mohajir (Urdu Speaking/Pakistanis who migrated from India)
Torture to death by Karachi Police during interogation.

See more http://www.karachipa...admohajir_f.htm
So........Pakistan & Saudia can do anything in the name of "Fighting Terrorism" and USA cannot ????

Thats the mosssssssst stupid statement I have ever heard. Basically you are saying it is ok for any Government to Kill & torture their own citizens?
Then this means that USA has the right to torture any Iraqi in Iraq!
Because they were able to do this in Karachi, few years later they were able to do this in NWFP and KILL many many many innocent people...again in the name of fighting terrorism. Where was the Justice? judge or jury for the Pathans in Wana Operation? and 30 so years back..where was the justice for Bengali muslims??
Where will it end? will there be another operation in Baluchistan? like the one Bhutto did?
I m sure all of us (Urdu Speaking, Pathan, Balochi) are plain simple terrorist! and there should be no Judge & Jury trial for us!
If you wana kill us, atleast prove us guilty in a Court of Law? OR does the Govt of Pakistan not believe in its own Court of Justice????

Please don't shift the focus. If we keep on applying our punches all over the place, we're at risk to not concentrate our energy for ONCE.
Btw, this crap does in no way justify the crap and atrocities of the US. It does in no way mean that we shouldn't be enraged about the sexual harrassments. Either way it's shameful...
