As for the 2000 Olympic Game medals count ranking India ranked no.80th out of a total of 80 participating teams or countries. Very impressive showing in the world's most important international sport arena!     

I strongly urge all Indian athletes to keep up the good work, do the same for the glory of their country during this year Athens Olympic Game, and in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Game. We love to cheer when India comes in last!
