Since India didn't take part. I concenterated on Chinese products and K-8, Super Mushak from Pakitan. I will post pictures in my forum or Protonriver.com/forums in 2 days.


This is an exclusive to Pakedfence.com as it concerns Pakistan (I have posted one bad news in Protonriver.com for Indians too.
I could contact most suppliers to india. I also went to Denel. I asked them that if PAF was testing/Inducting A-Darter and R-darter. The guy assured me that Pakistan is not also there are export restrictions to Pakistan. A- Darter is just around 12 kms and R-darter is below 50kms range.

I guess Indians out source most of the planes parts to third parties (majority in india). these repective companies should have been there.

If Pakistan was there, what inputs and what triggers of interest were they if any.

Hahaha...You live in Qatar, my Mom, Dad, 16-Year-old sister, and 14-Year old Brother live there, he lives in Dafna, and goes to Q.I.S.  Me and my older 26-Year old brother live in Canada, together in our Parent's condo.  

( He takes my cash, but soon, I'll be in training, and won't have to put up with his annoyence, but then, he'll get a good job somewhere thanks to his CCIE ( Oh well, earning cash is better then losing cash.

Anyways, my dad, mom, and brother and sister went to Dubai by plane on Thursday to meet our grandparents, and are gonn a check out the air show aswell.
I don't mind really, it's just an air show, because I'll soon fly a HAWK, and an CF-18

and Hats off for the Dubai Show....its a Hit!.F-16 c started off the runway today followed by a miraj 2000.Pakistani k-8 performed there and the super mashak too.Other awsome displays where there too and the day was concluded but an amazing disply of manouvers by a Rafale!.Other aircrafts also performed which included Freighters,heloz and general purpose aircrafts.The display by Harrier this year is not as good as it was of last year though.
  In the End all i would like to say is that i plan to go visit it this Wednesday and Inshallah i'll share all the pictures with Pakistani defence.That reminds me how do i put the videos and pictures on this site???!!!i also have the hawks airshow pictures which im willing to share...

I doubt Denel would say anything of the sort.

I've often tried to contact Saeb aobut Paksitan and the Gripen.....always the reply has been...ask Pakistan.

Yes, company reps are not allowed to divulge any customer or partnership info. I guess India stayed out because of the big Chinese and French presence.

What did you guys think of the K 8, it is a nice package isn't it?

There will be nothing major to miss. In fact when the white skin was describing the K-8 and super Mushak, my blood was boiling. I hate it when they put down products from developing nations. But both Chinese and Pakistani officials were perfectely home with that kind of tone, so what could i do?

I asked one Indian official why India was not present? He told me that LCA and ALH will be displayed in Singapore 04. Currently Middle east is dominated by western stuff. May be later they might think of participating.

About Denel saying such sort of things, its true. He was conviencing when he said that we have exports restriction to Pakistan.  I had tough time getting info from the Smits aerospace guys. Sukhoi was tight lipped. But gave little information.

Chinese CATIC guy was tailing me all along after i took some some pics and some asked lil sensitive questions like FC-1 in PLAAF and J-10. He stopped giving me information. He assured me that JF-17 will carry SD-10. So i asked him is testing over? I told him just 4 tests of motor was over. He fell silent. Then he told me that i know too much and refused to talk.

Chinese had one small plane on show, rest all were small dummies. They did not have any major presence.

The bad news is Denel hasn't given Darters to Pakistan for testing.

BG : Thanks again... for sharing ... Regarding the White skins .. well we do have them a lot in Dubai & I think Indians & Pakistani's have each other's as very close friends, which is really something to learn for people back home!!

But both Chinese and Pakistani officials were perfectely home with that kind of tone, so what could i do?

Sad & a very bad sales tactic.

PS : Anyways I am flying back to Abu Dhabi tonight & will be in Dubai tomorrow, as I don't have any more place on my Canadian passport & issuance of Canadian passport is only done in Dubai (besides Citibank on the Bank street!).

My source comes from Janes, when I go to the civic centre to contact the RCAF admin staff, I usually ask, and borrow 8-10 JDW magizines.  One says that the PAF was actively exploring the JAS-39 Gripen, Mirage 2000-9, and F-16C/D Block 40/42s.

Also, BG, you never ask questions on stuff you already know, and don't get the guy mad.  Anyways, you should have asked about the JF-17's avionics, atleast, that would have been a good question.  If the guy didn't know, then shut up, and stop asking questions, move on to the next stall.

Denel had two UAV's displayed. None form kamara or CATIC. CATIC displayed models of S-7, J-8II two new trainers, one trahsport Y-8, a Chipper z-something, PL-P and SD-10. I took some close photos of the 2 missiles, S-7 and J-8II. Will be on net shortly.

When did your brother get his CCIE?  I got mine back in 2000.  Industry aint what it used to be for us poor CCIEs any longer

Right now he's completing his CCIE, almost finished, he's gonna do a practical exam soon.  As for me, I wanted, and could have been a lawyer, but when a friend told me that the RCAF was in need of pilots, I decided to apply, because;

Job for life
Reasonable pay
self respect
reasonable timing
and my life dream of becoming a pilot, or atleast being in the air force as an officer.

I also went to Dubai air show yesterday.  It ends on the 11th.  So I am going there tomorrow as well as its the last day.  Its right next to the new dubai air port closer to the old terminal.  The day I went there, Eurofighter showed its performance in the air around 5 p.m.  

Next day I was going to the dentist in Dubai near the city centre, I saw another fighter plane flying at the show.  I think it was that swedish fighter air craft.  Before that a huge ass cargo plane was flying.

It was kick @ss!!

Do you think that guy would have told you that what is pak deal and stuff?

Did you asked why 18 defence officials visited pak few months ago?

Did you asked him thawhy t pak have the right to test denel missiles?


Did you ask him which missile tech was to sell to pak and why top officiers concerning this deal had millions of $$$$ in their bank accouts and then they ran away?

Did you asked him that thier own government said that they will honor the old contracts like (TOT of missile and deal) but no new deals unitll pak have demcracy and why thier two defence delegations visited pak after they had democratic government twice? (shorty followed by BVR missiles test)

Did you ask him why PAF ACM said that they got stuff from SA and upgraded and made it in pak?

Did you ask why PAF gives mix singles about MUPSOW/RAPTOR II?\

On the SD-10, they've already let out a lot of information on it already so there is no reason for them to be quiet.
