Just a couple of days after Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao‘s visit to India, China has created another controversy by adding a new twist to border disputes with India. A Xinhua, mouthpiece of the Chinese government, report has desribed the Sino-Indian border as 2,000 km long, ignoring nearly 1,600 km from its definition of China’s border with India. The border as per Indian account is 3,500 km.
China apparently no longer treats the line of nearly 1,600 km separating Jammu and Kashmir on one hand and Xinjiang and Tibet on the other as a border with India.
Xinuha’s reference to the border issue was based on an official briefing by Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Hu Zhengyue, ahead of Wen’s visit.
During his visit, Wen said China and India have agreed to set up a working mechanism for consultation and coordination on border affairs.
Terming the boundary issue between the two countries as an “historical legacy”, Wen had said that it would not be easy to completely resolve the matter.

China is not investing in Pakistan because we have a street-thug, common-thief for the President of Pakistan who leads a bunch of crooks, criminals, thugs and illiterates.
+1
China is very hesitant to enter into an alliance with a government whose leaders have their bank accounts in europe and america. May also be true for some of our generals.

Just patient Yaar.
Insh'Allah we get what hope for: Islamic World-China-Russia Alliance.
There are many Muslims in Russia.
In fact there are 4 provinces completely dominated by Muslims.
After 75 years of Communism in Russia, the Russians with Christian heritage don't Russia as a Christian country, like Muslim see Pakistan or Egypt as a Muslim nation.

Salaam,
Too many of the older generation are heavily pro-American. Waiting for the next generation to take-over Pakistan. In fact, wait for those politicians who are born after 1971 to form the majority government.
Until then, debates will rage...

"Mar 12, 2010 ... The Chinese have gone out of their way to help Pakistan, even losing the lives of their citizens in the process. ..."
Don't worry, Pakistan is the most pro-China country on earth. This is why Pakistan likes China, because China wins the hearts and minds.
We too will reciprocate Martian, by letting trade go from Gwadar to reach China. Its not a one-sided bargain.
We Pakistani too will reciprocate according to the best of our ability and circumstances.

Chinese courts have sentenced 20 people to up to life in jail on charges of separatism and plotting to carry out jihad in the restive far western region of Xinjiang, the government said on Wednesday.
The courts in Kashgar and Bayingol said the 20 - all ethnic Uighurs judging by their names - had had their "thoughts poisoned by religious extremism", and used cell phones and DVDs "to spread Muslim religious propaganda", the Xinjiang government said on its official news website (www.ts.cn).
Some of them bought weapons to kill policemen as part of their jihad and spread propaganda related to the banned East Turkestan Islamic Movement, the report said, a group which China says wages a violent campaign for a separate state.
Many Uighurs, a Turkic-speaking Muslim people native to Xinjiang, chafe at Chinese controls on their religion, language and culture.
China has blamed violence in energy-rich Xinjiang - strategically located on the borders of Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Central Asia - on Islamic separatists who want to establish an independent East Turkestan.
Some Chinese officials have also blamed attacks on Muslim militants trained in Pakistan. But many rights groups say China overstates the threat to justify its tight grip on the region.
Dilxat Raxit, spokesman for the exiled World Uyghur Congress, said the 20 were actually guilty of no more than listening to the US-funded Radio Free Asia and using the internet to discuss the importance of religious and cultural freedom.
"Giving heavy sentences to Uighurs (on the excuse) of terrorism is China's special way of carrying out suppression," he said in an emailed statement.

I think China shows the importance of Pakistan with its massive support of Pakistan. It matters not whom Le Keqiang visits.but my only disappointment is Mr Li Keqiang should have visited Pakistan first them to india that way he would have shown his importance to Pakistan ...

After travelling through some major cities in china all I get is hungry Chinese just after stealing western tech!
If you are an engineer and speak English fluently, avoid travelling to china at all costs.
I got out by dumping obsolete scraps for Shanghai and Shenzhen to fight over.

Your post intrigues me ..... could you please give more details on of your visit. I am interested in knowing what sort of behavior do the Chinese have, particularly when it comes to them knowing that we are Pakistanis. Of course, if you speak with a western accent, then that's just asking for trouble.
Who wouldn't want to study, dissect and reverse engineer western tech. But there ought to be a decorum and refinement in the way it's done.
It is said, one can even make a horse to deal cards, given the right attitude, words and approach.

Awaiting, upon reaching Damishque, the safron and beads of pearls and the Black Turban that shall lead the Salah of Fajr .........
........ the stones and trees of Lud shall cry out to the Black Flags and tell them of the Munafiqs, Yahuds and Kuffar that are hiding behind them, to come and kill them. That day shall be the day of reckoning, the day of justice, the day when no power shall hold and unfair advantage. The battle shall be fought and won by way of faith ........

Sort of encripted message from here..
what made me go to China is due to PDF (sino pak pact) and what annoyed the Chinese about me is due to what I learned from PDF debating!
Lost?
The Chinese space agency engineers met me, they spent alot of money on our tech, however I have perfected the art of kill-switch.
And I understand that my personal experience in no way makes any diffetence on an international level (pak sino friendship), it is howeverver enough to make me write these posts in an international forum like this.
