Opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday said that the opposition has proposed the names of Justice (Rtd) Shakirullah Jan‚ Justice (Rtd) Nasir Aslam Zahid and Rasool Bux Palejo.
Addressing news conference in Lahore, the PML-N leader said that the proposed names for the office of caretaker Prime Minister will be forwarded to the Prime Minister on Thursday.
He said these names have been finalized in consultation with all opposition parties. He said consultations have also been made with those parties which have no representation in the Parliament.
Rejecting all news reports regarding back door talks with PPP and PML-N, Nisar said that there is no back channel dialogue going on with the government on the issue of caretaker setup as his party does not believe in these channels.
The Opposition leader said all out efforts have been made to propose the names of totally impartial persons for caretaker Prime Minister. He said PML (N) wants elections for National and Provincial Assemblies on same day.

These so called “free and fair” elections would be most corrupt and treacherous elections in our history!

By Syed Zaid Zaman Hamid
These so called “free and fair” elections would be most corrupt, bloody and treacherous elections in our history. Even if you call army, how can you prevent this kind of corruption where fake degree holders, tax thieves, corrupt and the traitors are cleared by the election commission to take part in the elections and become MNAs? These elections would be like the elections of 1970, after which there was a bloody civil war in the country.
I have always wondered how on earth we have lost East Pakistan? What was the leadership doing at that time?? Now we have the answer. The political parties were hell bent on elections. Supreme Court and election commission was corrupt or silent, army just did its job of holding the elections and the traitors came to power because the system is so corrupt and faulty that even if 90% people do not vote, the one with 5 votes become the MNA and claim majority!!
Massive rigging has already started as you can see from this news. Now the same filthy democracy wants to come and rule over us for another 5 years. Today, we have no right to cry for the deaths and destruction we face today because we opted for this demon-cracy and still want to repeat this blunder. Allah does not have mercy upon idiots, stupids and rebels.

Sardar Yousaf is ex-district Nazim of Mansehra and father of current MNA from NA 20 Sardar Shahjahan Yousaf. Sardar Family is a key political family of Mansehra and their decision of joining PMLN will greatly change the political atmosphere of NA 20 Mansehra.
Azam Khan Swati–central leader of PTI is also expected to contest from NA 20 and this new development has created serious threats for him. Its expected that JUI-F will also support PML-N candidate from NA 20 as part of its seat adjustment agreement with PMLN in which case this seat will become more favorable for PML-N.
Its important to mention here that Ex MPA Waji Uz Zaman and many other notables were also waiting for decision of Sardar Yousaf and they have also joined PML-N now. However, one close associate of Sardar Yousaf –Qasim Shah has been recently elected as president of PML-Q Khyber Pakhtunkhwah and he is expected to stay in PML-Q and may get PML-Q ticket for NA 20.
Sardar Yousaf while announcing his decision of joining PML-N said that his joining in PML-N is first major step towards formation of Hazara province. PML-N KPK president Pir Sabir Shah, Habib Ullah Khan, Chaudhry Javed Iqbal and other local leaders of PML-N were present in the joining ceremony and they welcomed Sardar Yousaf and his family in Nawaz League.

Timeline: Switching loyalties
DAWN.COM
Two months to go until the election and already more than a dozen politicians have switched loyalties in order to beef up their portfolios. There are also instances of disgruntled members having left their parties and aiming to contest as independents. The switching activity, although foreseeable at the time, has also surprised many in the country’s political circles.
Dawn.com takes a look at those who jumped ships from January 2013 onwards.
March 6, 2013
Former provincial minister and senior PPP member, Sardar Sikandar Hayat, decided to join PTI after a meeting with Imran Khan.
Sources said Hayat’s decision may have a significant impact on PTI’s position in Attock in the coming election.
March 5, 2013
Former Intelligence Bureau chief and member of the PTI’s Central Executive Committee, Masood Sharif Khattak, resigned from the party alleging “horse-trading” in its recent intra-party elections. A potential candidate from Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he initially joined PTI over its slogan for change and gradually got frustrated with the “indifferent attitude” of Imran Khan to the people of KP. Khattak, however, wishes to contest for a National Assembly seat as an independent candidate.
**
In a serious blow to the PPP, the former president of the party’s Balochistan chapter, Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani, joined PML-N along with a group of 22 politicians. Raisani made the announcement after a meeting with Nawaz Sharif.
Among others those who joined the party are Mir Humayun Kurd, Tahir Mehmood Khan, Raheela Durrani, Ayub Khoso, Muhammad Riaz Advocate, Haji Mohammad Raheem, Haji Mehmood Khan, Naeemur Rehman, Chaudhry Zubair Jan, Asadullah Jan Raisani, Ismail Gujjar and Chaudhry Rafat.
**
Raja Muhammad Asad Khan, an MNA from Jhelum, announced to contest the next election as an independent candidate rather than a nominee of the PPP, the party he had joined recently along with his father Raja Muhammad Afzal and brother MNA Raja Muhammad Safdar Khan after ditching PML-N.
March 4, 2013
Chairman of Sooba Hazara Tehreek and former PML-Q leader Sardar Mohammad Yusuf joined PML-N along with his supporters, including MPA Wajiuzzaman Khan.
Yusuf switched sides after a meeting with Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law, Mohammad Safdar, and PML-N’s provincial president, Pir Sabir Shah.
February 25, 2013
A provincial minister from the Awami National Party (ANP) from Karak, Mian Nisar Gul, quit his ministry as well as his basic party membership. Those close to Gul said he was expected to join Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam – Fazl if awarded a party ticket, otherwise he would contest the election as an independent candidate.
February 15, 2013
PPP suffered a major setback in Punjab as nine of its legislators joined PML-N. The decision came after the party members had a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
The members who switched over are: Nishat Ahmed Daha, Syed Jamil Shah, Rana Babar Hussain and Abbas Zafar Hiraj from Khanewal district, Rana Munawwar Hussain and Sardar Kamil Gujjar (Sargodha), Javed Alauddin (Okara), Qaiser Sindhu (Gujranwala) and Uzma Zahid Bukhari, an MPA elected on a seat reserved for women.
PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira tried to play down the defections, saying “PML-N is relying on Lotas to rule Punjab”.
**
Shahbaz Sharif announced in the Punjab Assembly that two PML-Q MNAs, MNAs Dewan Ashiq Bokhari and Pir Mohammad Aslam Bodla, had also joined the PML-N.
January 20, 2013
In an interesting case of musical chairs, former PML-N MNA and Senator, Raja Mohammad Afzal, and his two scions, Raja Mohammad Asad Khan and Raja Mohammad Safdar Khan, from Jhelum joined PPP at a time when a PPP MNA from Sindh was expected to join PML-N.
They announced their decision to join PPP in a press conference at Bilawal House. However, there was resentment among PPP workers in Jhelum as they thought the Rajas would ditch the party after securing benefits.

ISLAMABAD - The electoral body on Friday rejected the objections raised by the law ministry over amendments in the nomination papers for general elections and gave a three-day deadline to the ministry to get the amended nomination papers approved by the president.
It also decided to have the un-amended or the existing version of the nomination papers printed in case the amended papers are not approved till the given deadline.
In an internal meeting chaired by Chief Election Commissioner Justice ® Fakhruddin G Ebrahim and members of the commission decided to reject the objections raised by the Ministry of Law and Justice on the grounds that the electoral body was mandated to make amendments in the electoral procedures with the approval of president in the light of Section 107 The Representation of the People Act (RoPA) 1976. The commission's management also contended that it was outside the purview of the law ministry to raise objections.
The RoPA's Section 107 states, "The commission may, with the approval of the president, make rules for carrying out the purposes of this act."The CEC Fakhruddin Ebrahim, when contacted, confirmed having rejected the law ministry's objections on the amended nomination papers. "The Constitution of Pakistan duly empowers us to make such amendments that are deemed necessary," he said adding that the law ministry did not have authority to overrun or object to the ECP decisions. "Any attempt to interfere in the ECP business shall not be acceptable. It would be detrimental for the conduct of free and fair elections," Ebrahim stated.
To a query, the CEC said that the deadline on the president's approval for amended nomination papers was set considering the time factor. "The present assemblies are packing up next week (March 16) and after that the elections schedule has to be announced. We don't have much time left, we can wait till Monday."
According to ECP officials, law ministry-raised three major objections were against the columns in the nomination papers seeking the wealth details and tax records of the candidates (for general polls) family members, details of the foreign trips in the past three years and the candidates' tax records. The law ministry asked the ECP to omit the relevant columns about the polls' contestants family members as well as the details of candidates' foreign trips.
Moreover, the ministry also asked the commission to have the tax record of the electoral candidates scrutinised by the FBR instead of seeking such details in the nomination papers.
The commission has also proposed to hold general elections on May 8-9, while it has also informed the government the electoral schedule should be issued before March 21 following the dissolution of assemblies on March 16.
Sher Afghan said the ECP should receive the nomination forms within six days after the issuance of schedule, whereas scrutiny would be completed in the next seven days following the submission.
He further said that the president would announce the date of elections after which final election schedule would be issued.

However it seems that saudis have pressurized ganja for Musharrafs safe return to Pakistan.
Im seeing an alliance between mush and ik, as PPP and PMLn will get togeher again to form the government, imran has no chance of getting a majority unless he makes an alliance with someone, so an electrol alliance with mush looks like it will happen if they both can manage 170 seats

The culture which has been adopted by the big political parties of Pakistan, of nepotism, looting and plundering of Pakistan's wealth, is the only thing that will be witnessed in this election. Neither Nawaz Sharif, Pervaiz Musharraf, Bhuttos, nor the Chaudhrys would ever be patriotic to Pakistan.

Awaiting, upon reaching Damishque, the safron and beads of pearls and the Black Turban that shall lead the Salah of Fajr .........
........ the stones and trees of Lud shall cry out to the Black Flags and tell them of the Munafiqs, Yahuds and Kuffar that are hiding behind them, to come and kill them. That day shall be the day of reckoning, the day of justice, the day when no power shall hold and unfair advantage. The battle shall be fought and won by way of faith ........

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People's Party Senator, Aitzaz Ahsan Wednesday said the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) cannot amend the nomination papers without the President's ratification and, therefore, the ECP's amended nomination papers are devoid of constitutional status.
Talking to media persons here, Aitzaz Ahsan feared that the ECP's move to get its amended nomination papers published may lead to problems ahead and become a cause of delay in the upcoming general elections.
The Supreme Court, he said, encouraged the ECP to go ahead with its move and the apex court would back it. "But, no such moves can be made. No institution can encourage such practice. All institutions will have to function within their domains," he added.

No overseas Pakistani should remain deprived of his right to vote, CJP said.

Pervez Musharaf, Former Pakistani President
Just before his return to Pakistan after 4 years in exile, former president Prevez Musharraf explains that he does not fear arrest or assassination; that he wants to run in the forthcoming elections and would like to rule his country again. He vows to force the United States to stop its use of drones to strike inside Pakistan and offers that Al Qaeda’s leader Ayman Al-Zawahairi could be in Pakistan.

Nabil Gabol quits PPP, joins MQM
Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Mr Gabol said he had been frustrated by policies of the PPP which had ‘neglected and destroyed’ Lyari and that was the reason for him to decide to end his 25 years of association with the party.

PTI will win the elections; just wait and see
All these alliances and buying of lota's wont do much once the tsunami starts rolling. You have to understand Pakistani herd mentality and the desire to vote for the stronger horse
Issue is who is going to be counting the votes?? I really hope and pray for a PTI win, but you can't be sure with the corruption in place at the top level.

Guest: Ghinwa Bhutto, the daughter in law of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and mother to Fatima Bhutto.
Ghinwa Bhutto is the chairperson of the political party: Pakistan Peoples Party Shaheed Bhutto.
She and her party will take part of the elections. She is against zardari's hijacking of pee pee pee. His children are NOT Bhuttos and can't not carry on the legacy of Bhutto-ness because they are zardaris.
The true family lineage falls to the children of late Murtaza Bhutto, who was a son of ZAB and killed in the 1990s by zardari as many believe.
The other guest is Dr. Mubasher Hasan who served as taxminister (as i'm informed, if anyone else has more details or other information in this regard please do write so :-) ) - during ZAB's regime and was his right hand.
He is against pee pee pee.
This is a milestone because pee pee pee has broken up into pieces, and the true Bhuttos will fight against zardari and his children for not being legimate to take over the party, as true Bhuttos.
Watch the interview, it doesn't even sound like if it's the corrupt incompetent pee pee pee political figures that are speaking, as every Pakistani knows about:
if anyone notices the accent in her Urdu pronunciation, that's because she's Lebanese:
More info about the party: http://www.pppsb.net/
Let me underline and state out clearly that i do not support the party, but just wanted to share this information. Because pee pee pee will tear into pieces and the Bhutto family will fight against zardari and his children.
The egoistic selfish idiocy by zardari will bring his children down.
Peace

John Kerry scrapped Pak visit to avoid accusation of meddling in upcoming elections: US official.
KABUL (AFP) - US Secretary of State John Kerry scrapped a planned visit to Pakistan to avoid accusations of meddling in the upcoming elections, US officials said on Monday.
Kerry, who landed in neighbouring Kabul after a trip to the Middle East, dropped Islamabad from his itinerary as Pakistan prepares for elections on May 11 that will mark the country s first democratic transition of power.
"Originally Secretary Kerry was hopeful he would be able to go to Pakistan on this trip as well," a US official told reporters travelling with Kerry.
"But as the government there enters a very historic period on this electoral process we wanted to fully respect those institutions and the ongoing process."
The US is a major donor to Pakistan and there is deep suspicion among many Pakistanis over US involvement in the country.
There is also fierce public anger over US drone strikes targeting militants near the border with Afghanistan.
The official said Kerry had met Pakistan s powerful army chief Ashfaq Kayani in Jordan on Sunday evening and would visit Islamabad in the near future.
http://dunyanews.tv/...-influence-accu
In other words, to let the most loyal pro-us politician poodle win the elections, it's best not to meet him or her.
If he met the loyal slavedog, the already frustrated anti-USA hating Pakistani public; who all can't forget the droneattacks, the selling of Aafia Siddiqui, the attack on Pak Soldiers by socalled nato/usa allies, raymond davis's attack on Pakistanis, interferring in Pakistanis politics etc etc; will not vote for the loyal slavedog.
it's obvious, if kerry came to Pakistan, he had to meet the soon gone president, zardari kutta, and the present caretaker pm. And even possibly nawaz sharif because he has got a green signal / permission from american ambassador to form a new government,
This kerry joker is totally ridiculous, like if the public doesn't know at all the political agendas in Islamabad are all formed and ordered from washington and pentagon in the united states of a-holes!!!!!!

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) allotted the arrow symbol to the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians on Monday whereas the decision over the name of Pakistan Peoples Party was withheld by the commission, DawnNews reported.
A three member bench of the commission headed by Justice (retd) Riaz Kayani resumed the hearing over the allotment of the ‘Arrow’ symbol and the name of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
The Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) was represented by Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Latif Khosa, Farroq H. Naek and Masood Kausar.
Ghinwa Bhutto chairperson of the Pakistan People’s Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB) had requested the ECP to register her party as the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and for the allottment of ‘ Sword’ as the election symbol for her party.
Estranged peoples party leaders , Naheed Khan and Safdar Abbasi had also filed a request for the registration of a new party called the PPP and had also requested for ‘Arrow’ as the election symbol.
The commission allotted the ‘Arrow’ symbol to the PPPP while defering its decision over the registration and name of the PPP.
Speaking to media persons after the decision former law minister Farooq H. Naek said that they would contest the upcoming elections under the platform of the PPP Parliamentarians and that the commission had made a fair decision over the issue.
Another PPPP leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim said that the public had trust in the Pakistan Peoples Party and that the election symbol ‘Arrow’ was their right.
A heated argument and scuffle occurred between the supporters of Naheed Khan and PPPP outside the ECP premises after the announcement of the decision.
The ECP had allotted election symbols to 144 parties last week while holding its decision on allotment of ‘ Arrow’ as election symbol which was sought by three parties.
The same three parties including the PPPP were seeking to register their respective parties as PPP.

Transgender people rallying for the inclusion of a separate gender column on identity cards before the Supreme Court ordered the government to have the community registered as voters to run for the highest seat in the office which is the president of Pakistan.
KARACHI: A member of Pakistan’s transgender community is to contest upcoming general elections on a ticket of equal rights, saying the community has more
to offer than begging or dancing at weddings. I mean the above statement is silly as it is point less, all humans from American point of view are cherishable but not when it comes to government military wars on foreign soil.
It is twisted mentallity by the US government to have 2 faces for every country on earth, what happens when all third world countries unite against America? It is called failure of economic to embargo taxation of goods passing from one region to another & not winning a war from US point of view.
It is a first in Pakistan’s 65-year history to pass trans gender laws.
It will also be the first time Pakistan’s estimated 500,000 “eunuchs” as I ever heard first time how to pronounce them but I grew up with hijarhs of in betweens sort of thing tags. But if we browse through youtube cross dressing section we see all types of names.
This decision to allow or seek eligibility to seek office, after the Supreme Court in 2011 ordered the government to issue them with identity cards and to register them as voters.
In Pakistan, the word “eunuch” is also used to refer to hermaphrodites, transsexuals,
transvestites and homosexuals in addition to castrated men.
Those classified as eunuchs are traditionally paid to help celebrate the birth of a son, or to dance at weddings.
The statement of, “It is not our destiny to merely dance for others and hold begging bowls. We have a life to live,” said one reporter. From a human collective point of view after not even the might of United States unable to enforce copyright laws in third world are so lacking in utilizing human potential in correct use. Other wise all are users of Personal computers to browse & not make a difference in society.
The elections will be for the national parliament and provincial assemblies.
Seats in Pakistan are often won on a patronage basis, giving wealthy landlords and entrenched political parties a huge advantage. This point is well known as the famous elections campaign for seat of a province per say.
The chance of running election for seat in local province for any trans person is slim since a lot of money is involved by the might of heavy campaigners.
“We are not corrupt. We have no need to be corrupt. We have no families and our own needs are limited. We are contented people,” reporter who is trans person also.
This is a good point to allow trans gender people to run for office to wipe out corruption which personally I don't see it going away anytime soon since the whole region is infested on every level of admin to local office if the bribe is not taken.
“I know it is very difficult to defeat them, but everyone should contribute for
the betterment of society,” reporter added.
But in a conservative Muslim country where sexual relations outside marriage are taboo and homosexuality is illegal, “eunuchs” are treated as sex objects and often become the victims of assault, ending up as beggars and prostitutes.
This is sad state of mind set by majority but if they were in States it would not be so.
Reporter who is trans gender person himself he completed 10th grade in school and now runs a charity, which includes a computer centre for members of his(her)
community.
“We are getting educated now. People used to make fun of us, but now they have started to respect us,” he(she) said. The reason for he(she) is mentioned is that I don't want to know or don't know his exact sexual orientation.
Finally after looking at trans issues back in United states during 1990's with one of kinds medical surgery to what not in Thailand, the whole sub-continent has finally woke up to reality.

LAHORE, March 25: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) hopefuls for party tickets with dual nationality are in a quandary, as they are ready to surrender their American nationality, but the US Consulate refused to issue them clearance certificates.
Syed Anwar Hasnat, dual national and hopeful for the PP-27 (Pind Dadan Khan, Jhelum) ticket, was quite upset when he returned from the US Consulate in Lahore on Monday. He said he surrendered his American passport, but the consulate did not issue him a clearance certificate.
US Embassy deputy spokesperson Matt Boland said issuing clearance certificates to those surrendering the US nationality was a process. “It takes time,” he added.
PTI Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhry, who is heading party’s parliamentary board and short-listing candidates for party tickets, told Dawn that the parliamentary board could consider such candidates if the court of law considers their application to surrender the dual nationality as valid.
It is learnt that around 100 PTI candidates want to surrender their foreign nationalities to contest the general election in Pakistan.
TICKETS: The PTI Punjab Parliamentary Board continued scrutinising candidates for provincial and national assembly seats in Punjab.
PTI Lahore District Parliamentary Board headed by Abdul Aleem Khan interviewed 238 candidates for 25 Punjab Assembly seats and 84 candidates for 13 National Assembly seats in Lahore.

Commission rejects pleas of Naheed Khan and Ghinwa Bhutto for allotment of sword as symbol.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Rejecting the applications of Naheed Khan and Ghinwa Bhutto, the Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday registered the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
A three-member bench of the commission headed by Justice (retd) Riaz Kayani had reserved verdict over the registration of the PPP on Monday.
The commission has allotted the new Bilawal’s PPP with “Two Swords” as electoral symbol of the party.
The ECP rejected the application of Naheed Khan to register the PPP in her name due to incomplete papers.
The ECP also rejected the Ghinwa Bhutto chairperson of the Pakistan People’s Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB) request to register her party as the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan People’s Party (Parliamentarian) is already registered in the name of Makhdoom Amin Fahim.

Bilawal leaves Pakistan, not to lead PPP election campaign: officials
ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will not be leading the party’s election campaign as party officials confirmed his departure for Dubai on Tuesday, days before the party launches its official campaign on April 4.
Speaking to Dawn.com, PPP leader Sharmila Farooqi confirmed that Bilawal had departed for Dubai. She also confirmed that the young Bhutto would not be ‘physically’ taking part in the party’s election campaign; however, she cited “security concerns” as the reason behind the decision.
The news comes as the Press Trust of India reported that the PPP chairman had left after an argument with his father, President Asif Ali Zardari.
Hasham Riaz, Bilawal’s chief of staff, while speaking to Dawn.com also confirmed that Bilawal had left for Dubai. However, he dismissed reports of a rift between the father and son as “rumors”.
According to the report by the Press Trust of India, the PPP chairman had a quarrel with President Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur over the party’s stance on several importance issues including militancy, sectarianism and the awarding of party tickets for the upcoming general elections.
The news agency reported sources as saying that Bilawal had an issue in particular with PPP’s weak reaction to the Malala Yousufzai shooting and the bomb attacks on the Shia community in Karachi and Quetta.
Bilawal was also angered by Talpur’s decision to not hand over party tickets to candidates in Sindh whom he favoured, a source told the Press Trust of India.
The departure of the PPP chairman raises concerns for the PPP, the main ruling party in Pakistan for the past five years, with polls looming overhead and the party set to kick-off its election campaign.
The PPP is to launch its election campaign on April 4 in Garhi Khuda Buksh.
Meanwhile, a source told Dawn.com that Bilawal, who turns 25 this September and will be of eligible age to contest elections by the time of the by-elections, has decided not to take part in even the by-polls.

Committee finalises Najam Sethi as Punjab caretaker CM
The parliamentary committee on Tuesday agreed on Najam Sethi as caretaker chief minister of Punjab.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - A six-member parliamentary committee comprising three members each from PML-N and the opposition side has been discussing four names for the post of caretaker CM for the last couple of days.
Earlier on Tuesday, the third and the final committee meeting had failed to reach a consensus and it was announced that the Election Commission of Pakistan would select the caretaker Punjab CM.
But later Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif directed members of the committee from PML-N to meet opposition members and hold another meeting of the parliamentary committee to reach a consensus on the name of caretaker CM.
Talking to media after the meeting, former Punjab law minster Rana Sanaullah Khan said that the committee had reacheched a consensus on the name of Najam Sethi as caretaker chief minister of Punjab. He expressed the hope that Najam Sethi would perform his duty impartially.
Rana Sanaullah said that PML-N always followed the democratic traditions and strived for the rule of law in the country.
Meanwhile, talking to a private TV channel after his nomination, Najam Sethi said that his first responsibility was to contact the Election Commission of Pakistan. He said that main responsibility of the caretaker government was to hold free and fair elections in the province.
On this occasion, members of the parliamentary committee from PPP and PML-Q criticised PML-N.
They said that the committee has been discussing the issue for last three days and it was decided in the meeting that the final decision would be announced in a joint press conference but Rana Sanaullah left the meeting room and announced the name of the caretaker CM just to grab the headlines.
It is worth mentioning here that the PPP had proposed names of Najam Sethi and Justice ® Zahid Hussain, while the PML-N had suggested the names of Justice ® Amir Raza Khan and Khawaja Zaheer, a former bureaucrat as caretaker CM.

Family, PPP reject Zardari-Bilawal tiff reports
Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari and PPP leaders say reports malicious rumour mongering.
LAHORE (Web Desk) – In a twitter message Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari has strongly rejected the reports published in certain circles of press as baseless and malicious.
She said circulating rumours against PPP leadership was not anything new.
PPP Sindh Information Secretary Sharjeel Memon also rejected the news reports about differences between Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his father Asif Ali Zardari.
He said it had been decided that Bilawal would not lead the election campaign in the wake of security threats.
Earlier it was reported that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had left for Dubai after a tiff with his father over the affairs of the PPP.
According to reports, Bilawal developed differences with Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur, over the party s handling of key issues, including militant violence, sectarian attacks against Shias and the award of party tickets for the polls.
The 24-year-old nominal chief of the PPP was angered by Faryal Talpur s refusal to award tickets to certain candidates in Sindh province that he had recommended, a source was quoted as saying.

JI district leader Ameer Bilal Qudrat was injured in firing by unidentified persons on Friday.
GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) - The district chief of Jamaat-e-Islami and candidate for NA-98, Bilal Qudrat Butt, along with deputy district chief of JI Siddique Butt and supporters, was on election campaign in Qila Deedar Singh when unknown persons opened firing at them.
Bilal Qudrat Butt, Sidique Butt and a passerby were critically injured in the firing while the accused managed to escape from the scene.
The injured were shifted to District Hospital, where they were said to be in critical condition.
A large number of Jamaat-e Islami and Shabab-e-Mili workers rushed to the hospital, shouted slogans against the incident.

Dr Qadeer not to contest polls
Will support his party Tehreek-e-Tahafuzz Pakistan and its allies.
ISLAMABAD (AFP) - The father of Pakistan s nuclear bomb has decided not to contest general elections in May, but will support his party and its allies on the campaign trail, a party spokesman said Friday.
Many Pakistanis regard Abdul Qadeer Khan, 76, as a hero for building the Muslim world s first atomic bomb but in the West he is considered a dangerous renegade since admitting in 2004 to selling nuclear secrets on the black market.
He later retracted his remarks and was freed from house arrest in Islamabad in 2009, but he remains under pressure from the authorities to keep a low profile.
Khan last November registered his Tehreek-e-Tahafuzz Pakistan or Save Pakistan Movement (SPM) to contest general elections for the first time and was allotted the symbol of a missile on request.
"Doctor Abdul Qadeer Khan will not take part in the election, but he will continue to befittingly support his party and its allies," party spokesman Rohail Akbar said in a statement.
"The party candidates and our allies have obtained nomination papers and they will stand for election in all parts of Pakistan," Akbar said.
The party is campaigning on a ticket to end corruption, inflation and power cuts, but is not expected to win many votes.
The May 11 vote stands to mark the first democratic transition of power in Pakistani history, which has been dominated by four military rulers.
