A teacher opens a time capsule that has been dug up at his son's elementary school; in it are some chilling predictions -- some that have already occurred and others that are about to -- that lead him to believe his family plays a role in the events that are about to unfold.
Fast & Furious 4 10/10
I can't wait till I watch this ....
Both of them are just so so, nothing as such to waste cash on.
That is a good one, The Haunting In Conecticut.
Seen all 3!
Can't wait for Angels & Demons, Star Trek, and X-Men the Origins.

Inregards to Casino, all star cast and very well told, based on real events.
dude you are crazy
goodfellas was a true story, and Casino was a rip off of Goodfellas (Goodfellas was made first)
Goodfellas is one of the best gangster movies of all time, right up there with The godfather, scarface and carlitos way.

Seen it and like it too (hence seen it many times

but trust me sex and the city is nothing like prada. Prada is smart. S&C tries to be smart. Prada is about making fashion, SnC is about brand names. Not a single memorable scene in SnC. But there are more than few scenes in prada. I specially liked the one where she "explains" how that blue color gone from designer show case to her closet.
I rather watch Zoolander than watching SnC. Needless to say that i will never watch it again. And you know me. I watch any movie atleast twice as long as it has something that you could go back to.
Ok concluding and final comment which explains the whole thing.
First 10 minutes will tell you the state of main characters. Last 5 minutes will do the same. and though there are minor changes, there is barely any development. And finally even if you have not known the tv series (i just seen couple of tele eipisodes), after first 10 minutes u will be able to tell the end of the movie which will be 75% correct.

goodfellas was a true story, and Casino was a rip off of Goodfellas (Goodfellas was made first)
Goodfellas is one of the best gangster movies of all time, right up there with The godfather, scarface and carlitos way.
Both were cited as true stories.
Henry Hill (Ray Lalito) was a rat in the real world. He would have had a motive to gloss over his crimes. If he admitted killing someone, he would be on trial for it. The FBI dont care to investigate because they got the Capo and other major players of one of the mafia clan, when he ratted them out.
Parts of Casino were fictional but the main characters were based on real people (Robert D Niro and Joe Pesci characters). Real life guy played by De niro did not testify against Mafia because he was not put on trial, thus was more likely to tell truth. Wheras Henry Hill made sure he was portrayed positively.
How can it be a rip off when both were apparently based on two different true events? The same director used same actors, thats why people get confused. Thats why Casino is rated lower because people wrongly percieve it as a sequel or rip off.

carlitos way is not the one of the great gang stories. Hell some dont even consider it as a great movie either. Its Untouchables, the warriors (a very cheesy look at the futuristic societies of street gangs no science fiction but its cheesy as hell and thats why regarded one of the great movies), once upon a time in america, etc.
carlitos way, though one of my favorite, usually dont get mentioned and so does casino. Reason is simple. first one dont have that much of great acting and second one is, as said earlier, have a very familier plot and you dont get standing ovation for a movie that almost looks like a formula movie.
Having said all that, do try watching L.A. Confidential. great police drama. I absolutely loved it.
Before i forget, Boyz 'N 'Hood is one of the top rated black street gang related movie.

There are a few car chase scenes and even when present there is so much camera movement especially in the caves that it gives me a headache.
I really wanted to watch I love you man. The cast from knocked up/superbad/Forgetting Sarah Marshall come out with some extremely smart comedy (zack and miri make a porno being the exception). But my homo-phobic friends refused to solely based on the title and that zack and miri was such a bad experience.

watched it and wondered what is different in this one and 10 thousand other haunting movies. oh one difference would be that many others are good. Total crap. the usual formula is in action. Let me put it in this way. Dont waste your money. The real story that it is based on is highly regarded as BS.
anyway to put it simply, its eve worst version of "an american haunting".

The Kingdom 8/10
a massive terrorist attack takes place in a western compound in Riyadh killing tens of Americans and Saudis. an FBI team is sent there to investigate and capture the terrorists.
the movie is unrealistic and does not reflect reality although it shows lots of action and CSI-style scenario.
oh and as usuall , Arabic Saudi clothing was dressed in a stupid way.
Resident Evil: Extinction 10/10
this is the 3rd movie in the story of resident evil. can't wait to see where the story is going to end.
Cloverfield gave me a headache ! Oh man it was like Blair Witch project all over again man I couldn't believe I was sat in the Cinema watching that crap ...
Mr. Bean's holiday was funny ... I give you that one .. although it could have been better ...
hehe its because i love the movies in which you could not expect whats going to happen next (such as the mist and cloverfield).
most movies are anticipated , each 5 minutes you'd say to yourself "oh i knew it i knew thats gonna happen" but in movies like the mist and cloverfield , i couldn't expect what will happen next .. both have tragic ending not a typical dramatic happy one.

The only problem is that wherever they used special effects, the special effect were clearly visible. I mean you can see the strings attached and computer aided images in some parts (the movie was leaked before they had fully edited it).
But the movie was good. The above glitches were only in scenes and over all the movie was awesome.(the torrents had nearly 40,000 seeds).
I really liked how they portrayed sabretooth and wolverine.
I really want to spoil other's fun by posting the synopsis here and on wiki. However, i won't do that for now.

There were a few with me who immediately said "I didn't like it".
Then after few minutes "now that I think of it again, it was a good movie".

Hey we said it was ok movie. Remember me saying "too many twists". And remember me going out cause i got bored.
Body of lies is indeed a great movie.
I guess the only movie that has a balance view of american and non american agencies. Specially what impressed me was the fact that they showed that how american agency work messes everyone else in the other countries.
Ok for pure good time, comedy action. watch The Big Hit. its to be watched with friends with light mood. no serious thing at all. I give 7 out of 10. (again funny movie, plays on stereotyping people etc.) if you like it you like if you hate it, you dont have to give a reason

Another good one is "We Own The Night" - Mark Wahlburg.
One brother is a cop, and another managing clubs for Russian Mafia, drugs and all.
War begins, and NYPD comes down on them, thenselves breaking laws.
That's a good one.
I stumbled on a really good movie recently - "Behind Enemy Lines" - Owen Wilson, Gene Hackman, 2001.
It's based on a true story, the downing of the F-18 over Yugoslavia/Serbia.
The evasive maneuvers of the F-18, and the SAM's chasing it was awesome.

X-Men Origins was a really good movie, better then any other sequels. Please don't watch the leaked version....it will spoil it for you.
Fighting: It is really gay, a poorly made movie and a waste of 8 quid.
Terminator 4: Good movie but don't have high expectations cause it won't live up to it.
Angels and Demons: Very dissapointing if you have read the novel before hand.
I'm looking forward to Transformers 2.

Khuda ke liye was pretty good, compared to the crap that is normally produced in Pakistan.
I watched so many movies recently that I can't even remember the names.
I can only remember a few like Hangover, from a couple of weeks back, which was pretty good. 8/10. The asian man's profanity was hilarious.
Blood Brothers was nice as well.

(1) Apocalypse now, directors cut with 43 minutes extra of unseen footage. Cult movie, great caste.
directed by Francis Ford Coppola (the Godfather), caste includes:Marlon Brando, Martin Sheen, and Robert Duvall.
(2) Full metal jacket - story of recruits right from training camp to some intense fighting in Viet Nam - directed by Stanley Kubrick: starring Mathew Modine.
(3) Hamburger Hill - good movie, well directed
(4) and finally my favourite Viet Nam movie of all time - Platoon , directed by Oliver Stone, excellent movie and in my opinion one of the best war movies ever made. Charlie Sheen stars along with Willem Dafoe and Tom Berenger who plays the psycho lietenant Barns. Great acting, great fight scenes and a great script, and an excellent soundtrack.
Highly recommended.

Biggest crap fest ever. good plot at the start to the end. but when you finally find out the "end", you start asking yourself, or atleast I did, how the hell she knew it; how the hell they knew "it".
dont waste money on renting it. wait till it shows up on tv. Neither great acting nor a great story over all. Now one great thing about it was the special effects. Two disaster seen and specially the second one is absolutely great piece of work (though i didnt saw that great quality but it looked amazing).
"Powder"
slightly old movie but hey you will love it.
apocalypse now is not a "cult movie"

Its really funny that two of the best Vietnam movie had father and son playing the leading role.

Later in a comedy movie both played their roles in comical manner (hot shot 2)

By the way, one of the best comedy Hot Shots 1 and Hot Shots part deux (part two) are very funny movies. should watch them. i give 7 to both of them

yep, thats a great movie too (i also have that one).
another one I didnt watch that weekend but own is the Deer Hunter. Another excellent Viet Nam film, but given that I did that all in one weekend I couldnt possibly watch all of them. But yes, great movie, although Im not too keen on Mel Gibson.
