Important update relating to downloading from Google

Ok I have been hearing problems in downloading the files from google. whats the point of putting great links if no one can see it. so here is a step by step guide. follow it and you will be good to go.

show it to your friends. go to demonoid bittorent site and download the avi version from there. if not possible then this is what you gotta do. step by step.

1- click download button. if the player is not already installed, this will first install the video player. (very small download.)
2- If you dont have the player installed then first double click the file you just downloaded and double click on it to instal google player.
3- The doc is going to automatically download. the progress of download is actually shown in the bottom bar. the slider shows your position in the video. the grey bar which slowly growing bigger is your progress of download. to complete the download you have to allow this grey bigger cover all the white portion of the bar.

4- If you have the dsl then you most prolly dont need to wait and can start watching the documentary immediately. if not then its best that you let the download get completed first.

Where does the documentary gets stored???

Go in
My documents-->My videos-->google videos

If the documentary is downloaded then for future, you can watch it anytime by clicking the file in google videos folder.

Dont know torrent downloading

Ok this is a tough one. tough one, because you will prolly not get a good source to download.

ok i will try to make it simple as much as i can.

ok I asume most of you have used kazaa. torrent downloading is the same thing with one difference. In torrent downloading, you download and upload on the same time.

just like all the other downloading programs, you need one program to download the stuff. utorrent is a popular one. This program is not java based and thus takes less system resources and is my favourite one. You could also use azureus (java based) but it will be big burden on your pc as compared to utorrent. pick whatever suits you.

WARNING: USE UTORRENT 1.6 AS THE LATER VERSIONS CRASH.

for both programs first what you need to do is go in preferences/options and change the upload speed limit. If you leave the upload on unlimited then you wont be able to download on a good speed. ( intenet related technical issue. most of you wont understand it so i will leave this part)
I am on a 3mb dsl line and my upload is good at 40kb. It can go higher like 60kb but in traffic time even 50kb is pushing it so i leave it on 40 so i dont have to change it again and again. You should check your possible upload speed by doing what ever you normally do and see if you can still keep doing with the upload speed that you have. ok example from personal side: i watch online documentaries a lot. infact my online tv always keeps running when i am on computer. so winamp tv + web surfing to my course pages plus 200kb download and 40 kb upload on the azureus. and finally this is all done in after 9pm. In rush hour i keep the download at 180 or 160kb. this is all on a line 3mb line.

Now that you have some picture of how upload speed effects the whole process understand that you cannot download more than the speed of your connection. and most prolly will never reach the speed that you ip service provider say that you will. but any way. dont max your download speed just keep it 300kb then your max download speed. (call your ip service to find the real download speed that you can have and upload)

after finding the speed set your up and down speed limit as max- 20 for up and down. again dont max your upload speed.

Now you are good to go. any more problem then search google. cant find it there then pm me.

now here is the tricky part to understand. you wont find a search bar or crap like that. Torrent programs need a specific file, called torrent file, to download.

just click the search bar and type anything you want most prolly you will get it.

Ok uptill here you now learnt to have torrent client (bitcomet and azureus). and now you need a torrent file to download some documentary.

for legal purposes I will show you how to download 911 fahrenheit as it is allowed by producers to be distributed over net.

again a step by step walkthrough

1- in the search bar type 911 fahrenheit
you will see some result.

2- click on the one that you like to download.
a new page will open. and will have this entery in the first row of the table.
Download: FAHRENHEIT911.torrent (Azureus magnet link)

3- click fahrenheit911.torrent and you will be downloading a small file.

4- now the second last step: double click the file you just downloaded. it will open in the bitcomet or azureus and just ok the window and voila.

congratulations. u just started your first download bittorent download.

at first it might seems lengthy but once you download your first download, your second download will be very small process. just follow the above four steps.

You will get almost unlimited access to documentaries.

Some important steps for quick downloading

1- seeds are people who have full file that you want to download. peers are people who dont have full file but they are downloading. if you see multiple similar results then select the torrent file that have most seeds.

2- keep seeding untill you have uploaded same amount as you have downloaded. its not necessary to do that but you want to be a good guy and share the files with others.

3- on mininova, generally speaking you will not get very high download speed rate. if you want speed like I do (i am downloading on average of 150 kB+) then you want to become member of exclusive torrent sites like demonoid or torrentleech. but they want to keep your download and upload ratio in 1:1 . keep that in your mind. cause if you dont then they will automatically ban you. their membership is free but you can get in only if someone invites you or they have openings.

This concludes this small tutorial. and remember there is always google.

Update 1.2 - Downloading flash video and other formats from youtube etc.

Q1- How do you identify it as a flash video or video of different types?

Right click on the video and read the menu:

• If the last option says "about adobe flash player", then it is flash video.
• If the video is played by google player on google video site then it is flash video.
• if the link includes extension " flv", its a flash video.
• any extension other than flv is not a flash video.
• youtube videos are flash video.
• stagevu videos are divx or avi files which are playable only by divx player or VLC player. Some files also be playable by Windows media player.
• veoh media is flash. they store media in their special folder on your computer.

Q2 -Now how do we download them?
Yes. we know that you want to show it to your friends and family member again but dont wanna screw your bandwidth. So here it goes.

first thing......... get that freaking firefox. forget Internet explorer for God sake.
secondly.......... get this add on https://addons.mozil...fox/addon/53003
just go to above link and click add to firefox. system will download it and restart firefox. and you will see right bottom corner a download icon. when viewing a video if you click that small icon at bottom right and select to download, you will download the video that you were watching.

my personal favourite add on is "fast youtube downloader 1.1". With this add on you can just download the audio of the video.

If you are watching the divx video online then all the videos are stored in a folder with ".part" extension. Find the folder (you can get the location from divx setting. just right click the video then ->download cache->open cache folder). After you are done buffering the whole movie or done watching the movie online, just go to this folder and then change the .part to .avi and now you can watch it with vlc.

Well here is one of the most important documentary on world politics. Perhaps even more important than any of 9/11 related documentary because none of it is opinion. every thing is backed up by the government documents or the video interviews or proves. Again, none of the proves are deductive. They are explicitly described in videos.

I have mentioned in many of my anti iraq war posts that were against BS. Well boys good news is most of things that i have described have a video or documented proof in these documentaries.

Ok this is one has to be one of the most stupid documentary i have ever seen.

The narrator has pushed his own views without even any research. A simple example that he claims that some statics says that 60% of Pakistani men own fire arms. wrong. and boy is it wrong. in far northern area most probably ever man owns a gun and in rest of Pakistan less than 20% and far northern area makes hardly 5% of the population. and then the refrence to the desecrating the bodies. wrong again. extreme muslims consider it an act of big sin. infact there is no record of hard line muslim in any "extreme muslim society" of disrespecting the dead.

Kaylash people are on decrease???? shouldnt they be. They sell their daughters in their tridition. The government took an action to educate those areas and now most of them are living or migrated to the city.

And then there is whining about hardly any budh being there. well dude here is the flash news. except few far areas where this dumb a$$ did not go, there hardly any person left who is not budh for two generation.

Oh by the way if some one interested in knowing how much this person has made research, Hunza, gilget etc. are big tourist attractions. hell musical groups go there to make there videos etc. what more i can say than the fact that there is an airport right in gilgit. Any way enough said.

Ever heard that discovery was paid to take the documentary off the air? Well, I am pretty sure you havent. This was the only documentary for which discovery was paid by gov. of USA to stop its airing. Thats a fact. why?

It covers the one of the most horrific sex scandals involving children and top order americans. If you dont have a strong stomach then dont watch it. details are very explicit, so explicit that if i put them here I will be simply banned.

Discovery was told to destroy all copies of this doc. They did so. But when the victim's lawyer went for a retrial, he received this unedited rough cut of the documentary from some anonymous person.

At the beginning of this topic, I promissed to stay away from stupid documentaries that are not food for thought and stay away from conspiracy theories. But ofcourse sometime it becomes really really hard to avoid some very influentials and so convincing works.

Many of you have seen documentaries that claim we did not go on moon. Most of them are just remake of this documentary.

What Happened on the Moon is mother of all documentary. extremely lengthy and contains very interesting footage from Nasa records and some interesting facts.

Its in two parts. And covers all aspects of moon landing, from rocket building to photography. Even if you have seen similar documentaries, I urge you to skip to the rocket builiding part for most informative part of the video.

Watch the documentary for first hour and by the that time you will be saying "ok. I got it that we did not go to moon so whats next". It is really that convincing.

Apart from some interest and scientifically proven theory, you should watch it for many other tid bits that you did not know about space program.

Bermuda Triangle.... well many of us (like me) still like to fancy that there is something more than a natural phenomenon responsible for sinking of ships, Well it isnt. saw this documentary years back (or something with the same idea) and that shattered some fancy well anyway. Nothing personal here. if this is the truth then gotta admit it.

Although this documentary clearly provides a plausible solution to the problem but it still fails to give a reason for the time loss of some jet plains who vanished from radar for 10 minutes or so and then arrived at the airport with everyone watches 10 minutes behind. ( My personal belive is that it could be a radar flaw and a 10 minute shift of time zone but i cant be sure as i dont have the knowledge of particulars of the flight.)

Any way keep your eyes and brains open and search for truth.

one more tip for you people, instead of streaming videos you can actually download them from google or youtube etc, you need to be using browser FIREFOX and need a plugin called UNPLUG once you are on the page where video is streaming right click and select UNPLUG, you will be given the link to download the video

Normally these videos on youtube are in flash vdieo format, to view them you need FLASH VIDEO PLAYER, google for it and you will easily find it, otherwise lemme know i will attach it here, on google however you can also find videos in wmv and avi formats ( not that often though since flash takes very less space )

If you are WORLDCALL BROADBAND KARACHI subscriber lemme know i can arrange the documentries to be place on the hub for limited time so you guys can leech them off

dont know about u but in toronto u just click the download button and you can get the movie downloaded easily from google video.

if you do upload then do it on google. its very easy to upload and a person has a choice of downloading and streaming without headache.

Plus youtube future is very hazy as the law suit are going against it.

the best thing about google is you can view the movie as you download it (google player is needed for that). but once downloaded, change the extention from gvi to avi and use vlc to view them.
