It is we human beings who created the ISIS. Our selfish minds and desire of luxury have created a world that does not run no more on moral grounds and high ethics but on economics and power. The power to buy everything and everyone. We have created a world that has put a price on everything and everyone. As a consequence your sons and daughters have a price, your loyalty to your friends and neighbor has a price, you have price. Nothing is left priceless love, family, respect, you name it all have price tags. Even education nowadays is all about building a successful career in the hope of landing a big job rather then building character and being virtuous. Just watched FLAMES OF WAR and have posted it here. You may be surprised seeing Saudi scholars denounce them. They are very much against these regimes. ISIS is an FSA offshoot , they have co-ordination at all levels, the same SUVs which US gave to FSA were seen in ISIS colors rolling into iraq.

IS to me is the coming together of MILITANT Sunni Wahhabi elements in different parts of the Middle East and later the whole world, some of who might have enjoyed support (overt and covert) from state agencies including the US, It must have hugely benefited from those who joined it from Al Nusra Front of Syrians fighting Assad regime and funded by Qataris mainly and to some extent Saudis and even covertly the US.

Israel is facing very serious existential threat for the first time since its formation from the so called axis of resistance (Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and Hamas). For the first time they could not have their way with Pals (Operation Protective Edge) Iran cant be touched, so cant Hezbollah... that leaves Syria bit exposed. Another major factor in this equation is the formation of a land-bridge from Tehran, through Iraq and Syria, all the way to South Lebanon. This would be extremely dangerous for Israel and obviously Israel will do everything in its power to break this alliance into pieces.... even if they have to join alliances with takfiri groups.

This is quite perplexing. While the US and Saudis did manage to turn ISIS into a monster by sending in money, recruits and ammunition in their desire to bring Asad down, the origin of ISIS is unknown to many, including me. The guys are way too extreme, so much so that their terriotorial disputes with Jabahat al Nusra and Free Syrian Army  n Syria made Al-Qaeda request them to confine their operations to Iraq. They overlooked, thereby being jettisoned by al-Qaeda. I saw these guys blasting shrines of Harzat Younus and Hazrat Shees, I am sure no ordinary person can do that. Thanks to Saudis for indoctrinating those bloody ideologies.

 

There are people who believe that ISIS primarily includes member of Saddam's Baath party (the hardcore Sunnis). There are others who believe that it is a marriage of convenience between Saddam's loyalists (known with the acronym JRTN) and ISIS. The way ISIS appointed ex- army generals, after it captured Mosul and Tikrit, as governors also corroborates that there is little truth to this argument.

But how ISIS has recently demanded release of prisoners belonging to Fatah al-Islam, who were involved in orchestrating an attack on Lebanese Army back in 2007, makes one wonder if these guys existed back in 2007 with the aforementioned name.

And then there is Edward Snowden who stated that Baghdadi was trained by CIA.

Whatever the truth is, their creation is history, what we need to recognize is that  these guys are nothing but bloodthirsty creatures who are enervating the already sapped Muslim nations.

The former employee at US National Security Agency (NSA), Edward Snowden, has revealed that the British and American intelligence and the Mossad worked together to create the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Snowden said intelligence services of three countries created a terrorist organisation that is able to attract all extremists of the world to one place, using a strategy called “the hornet’s nest”.

Russia has benefited most from rise of ISIS, it gets to put a stake back in the heart of the Middle East, it distracts world powers away

from Syria and friendly Assad regime, and it makes America look stupid by first supplying the weapons to Iraq army and then having to

go back in to bomb and destroy those same weapons.

 

The only major power that has not joined the coalition is Russia, because no matter who wins in Iraq its win win for them.

This is a very interesting hypothesis. .. I never looked at it from that point of view... also explains the isis and asaad regime oil deals...

On the other hand... I think the demonic isis got out of hand and are now a threat to everyone.

The greatest domestic danger that currently Russia is facing is that of Islamic movements in its Southern Regions. I doubt Russia is bold enough or fool enough to create or empower a movement that'd eventually find its way within Russia and create headache for it. The reason that Russia did not join the coalition is the same as China as they dont trust US.

A drug addict would steal your wallet and help you look for it for hours. The current apparent coalition against IS is bit the same. On one hand countries like Qatar or Saudi fund it (as was said by Biden) and then they form a coalition to fight it. Something does not seem right here...Russia and China know alot more imo.
