NORTH KOREAN AIR FORCE
Defending one of the most isolated countries in the world, little is know about the Korean People's Army Air Force, apart from the fact that thay have been in a near-war-status with their South Korean neighbours for ages. Tha order of battle includes well over 600 combat aircraft, though most of them are old and their status is not clear: 12 L-39C, 40 H-5, 30 MiG-15UTI, 120 MiG-21PF/PFM, 25 MiG-21UM, 40 MiG-23ML, 10 MiG-23UB, 25 MiG-29A, 5 MiG-29UB, 20 Mi-24D/V, 40 Q-5, 120 F-5 (MiG-17), 20 FT-5, 100 F-6 (MiG-19), 10 FT-6, 30 Su-7BMK, 18 Su-25K, 2 Su-25UBK. ====================================================== REPUBLIC OF KOREA AIR FORCE The Republic of Korea lies in one of the world's hottest spots (ainīt that right, Falcon 4 fans?), with neighbouring North Korea always posing a threat. As a result, Korea has a big and modern air force with over 400 combat/training jets (160 F-16C/D block 32/52, 130 F-4C/D, 200 ®F-5A/E/F, 18 Hawk mk.167, 22 O/A-37B and 50 T-37C). The display team is called "Black Eagles" and fly the A-37B. In 2004 they will be re-equiped with 8 indigenous A-50 -------------------- *I salute the Pakistan Air Force and those magnificent men in their flitting machines for what they were, are and always would be.
My heart goes out to those hundreds of valiant fighter pilots who are no more with us, having laid down their lives, in war and peace in line of duty to their country. Their graves I may not know but I do know that they could have been the pride of any air force and any nation *SHAHEEN"The "PAF" Fighter Pilots Flies Because He Dares-Nothing More,Nothing less *IT Take Temperament ,Aptitude And Physical Fitness Of A Special kind To Make " A Fighter Pilot". *Pakistani Fighter Pilots know they are likely to face combat ANY TIME. *Currently Pakistan has to rely on its Pilots' quality to deter "Indian Air Force". |

South korea also will have 40 F-15K strike eagles, which are better than the F-15E....
North korea was negotiating for some Su-27 but russia said no. -------------------- www.freeownage.com
